[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] The whisperings of the wind blew gently throughout the Lyneel Kingdom. The trees branches whispered their own secret language of the nature. The flowers blooming up to the warmth of the ray shining down upon the Earth. Green grass blades wavered in the wind, as if they were dancing. A male set a foot on to the island, tying he small one man boat to the shore with a piece of boulder.
The male looked up to the sky. The warm sun rays shone down on his bright red irises. His brown kissed skin glowed as the ray danced upon his face. The clinking of his two guns were heard as the male walked onto the island. Just randomly and aimlessly exploring this island. His worn out black leather combat boots made crunching noises as he strolled through the grass. The male wore black boot cut jeans with a white tank top.
This man was the one and the only Calico D. Kirikazoku better known as the Mad Surgeon. Now a brand new pirate ready to endure he journey for power. Calico bruhed the bangs out of his vision with his right hand. His left hand rested on his left side of his hip. A small mischievous smirk appeared on his face. Something in his guts told his that something fun was going to happen today.
Why was he here? Hell, he doesn't even know the answer to that question. None of her crew mates were at this island. Calico let out a sigh. Right now. He has no idea where the hell he is and he needed to figure this out. "Where in the world in this place?" Calico muttered to hisself, her right hand stratching his head in extreme confusion.

"Always being assigned to random posts, thanks Vice Admiral." Stationed in the Lyneel Kingdom was none other than Co-Captain Mary Edwards. After the events of St. Patrick Day it was pretty much back to work. Wait, what work was she supposed to be doing out here? Just maintaining operations in the North Blue. There were marines to boss around which she enjoyed doing. No doubt the World Government wanted to keep the Kingdom safe or perhaps it was just routine. The correct answer was probably the middle ground of both assumptions but that didn't matter to her.
No, the Division Six member was laying against the trunk of a tree a short distance from the docks. Opting to do the "look-out" duty in place of a typical Marine grunt, she was actually slacking off to the max. Even in her past as a crew Doctor, she always found ways to be "working" yet relaxing at the same time. "Charts" used to be her old excuse, seemingly engrossed in paper work in her quarters. Now as a Co-Captain she had excuses upon excuses to leverage. Dressed in her white official coat, the Kanji for "Justice" along the back, the shoulder padding of gold/red was rather heavy on her lithe frame. It's sleeves dangling along the sides as she folded her hands along her lap.
Beneath the coat she wore a white button up blazer and a white mini skirt. She kept her legs tucked and slightly off to the side, her bangs drooping where here eyes would be if they hadn't been tilted. Tilted? Yes, Mary was practically dosing off because all the scheduled boats for this dock were delayed. Some storm or something, wouldn't want to have been out on seas in those conditions eh? Regardless the tree sheltered her from most of the sunlight and she'd stayed up doing actual paper work the night before (so much for using it as an excuse).
So the blonde coaxed sombrely and was just about to pass out when she heard a familiar voice. Yet even she thought it was impossible to hear this voice but called out just to be safe:
"You're in the North Blue - Lyneel Kingdom to be precise. What kind of Sailor are you if you don't have a remote sense of direction?"
Well there was a reason crews had navigators but any sailor worth his salt at least had a basic understanding of the world at large, that or Ms. Edwards' standards were high. This was probably the clase admittedly.

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] Damn it! He hate the idea of being lost but then someone told him where he now was. North Blue - Lyneel Kingdom? Calico wondered to himself how had end up...wait, did a someone just call him a sailor. He turned around and face the person who spoke to him. "I'm not a sailor. In fact, I'm wouldn't dream of becoming a unless sailor. Calico said, now facing a woman would stated that comment. The woman looked familar but he normally forgots the looks of a person if he didn't have a name. His three of his fingers rubbed down his chin, trying to remember this person but without a name, it was unless.
"I'm a doctor and do I know you, miss?" He asked as he raised his left eyebrow, studying this woman's appearance. This was mind-bottling. Here he was on a island, wait incorrect. On North Blue - Lyneel Kingdom and he couldn't remember this lovely woman and he didn't remember who the hell she was. It could be she look like someone he once met. He extend his left hand for the woman to shake.
"The name is Mad Surgeon Calico. Who are ya?"

"Well isn't this an unexpected reunion." As he turned to face the Co-Captain of Division Six, she tilted her head. "Oh, so it's the drunken pervert after all, though he's not quite drunk today or so it seems..." she mused to herself but her expression remained apathetic for the moment. He wouldn't dream of being a useless sailor, sounds like he had some ambition so the snake listened further. As he raised his eyebrow she continued her musing: "So he doesn't remember me, must have been really drunk that day, guess I can't hate him." she mentally noted and frowned a bit before he gave his introduction.
"Calico, is it? I'm Doctor M, it's a pleasure to meet somebody in the field." She'd take his left hand with her own, though her eyebrow raised, taking note of the fact they were using the wrong hands for this little gesture.
"You seem perplexed however Calico, perhaps you've just seen one too many pretty ladies. Regardless, I have to ask what you're doing entering this nation's shore on a small boat, by yourself. Surely you're not on the run or anything outrageous like that, ne?"
She flashed a smile as she attempted to get to know the man she'd simply dubbed the drunken pervert at St. Patty's day. It would seem the man was a wanderer and knew about medicine, but only he could verify his claims. For now though, he didn't seem to recognize her as a Marine yet, perhaps because he couldn't see the insignia on her back, no doubt a small relief.

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] Doctor M was it? So, she was a doctor as well. Groovy. He shook this woman hand with a smile on his face. If he didn't know any better, he would have to say he was blushing, quiet unsual for him. His hand parted Doctor M's hand. He slightly lower his cap, causing the two rings to clinking. "Likeways. Now that I think about it, I rarely meet someone who is also a doctor, so this is a honor of me." Calico said, placing his hands within his pockets. He turned away from M for a second to take a small look around the island. It was so quiet. A place Calico could really enjoy, when he was alone.
Calico had a little outburst the moment this woman said that he must have seen alot of another pretty women. "Sorry, but I'm going to stop your right there. I haven't seen a pretty woman since the day, I left home. I normally see fat, ulgy, and hairy women." He said, unable to control his laugh. This woman was just too much. To think that the North Blue would have a woman with a sense of humor. Truely interesting. Soon, Doctor M starting asking what he was doing. The way she questioned him, smelled like a marine but he wasn't going to do anything to this kind woman unless she made the first move.
"No, no. I'm just traveling for fun. As a doctor, I want to learn for all the blues about their cures and poisons. I'm also out here training." Calico stated, pulling off one of the greatest lies of his time. Well, to be honest, he wasn't lying about none of it. He just forgot to mention the part where he was a pirate. Something the will come up later but for now, he would like to avoid that subject. "What brings you here?" He asked, turning the subject onto her.

Their conversation went on so smoothly, it was a wonder they met on unfavourable circumstances on St. Patrick's Day. So he was a legitimate Doctor, she could tell because of how he spoke. He even had a trade name, which was familiar of "traveling" Doctors or ones whom affiliated with the shady side of the law. She would know, she was in that position until after the splitting of Eternus Deus. Also, his speech revealed why he was so perverted at the festival. The man hadn't seen a decent looking woman in a long time, she giggled when he said that but tried to look away so as not to embarass him or herself.
At least he was laughing also so it wasn't so bad. Today might just be interesting for her despite being on guard duty, ah speaking of which. He came up with his retort regarding her sly question rather quickly. However Pirates were the slyest of men, she would know being an ex-Pirate herself. Truth be told, Mary didn't really trust people, especially men. She loved to play with men but a serious releationship? Pfft not in the cards no chance. She lived for herself especially since what she considered family was torn apart by a traitor or so they crew believed. Truth be told, she wanted to find out just how the Marines had ambushed the Pirates in the war. She suspected the government was playing dirty but how could a Pirate get close to the World Government? Short answer: they didn't at least not in the traditional sense, only those whom were closely affiliated to the government had a chance.
Good thing she was a Co-Captain, ah which lead her to the Doctor's own question.
"Well truth be told I'm supposed to be working but I had a rough day the other day, even though it was supposed to be a vacation for me. So I'm using this chance to rest and do good at the same time." she smiled before pointing to the docks.
"Normally there would be a poor chore boy diligently standing watch. However we're not expecting any boats to come in due to a reported storm further out. It's a wonder you made it to shore in that small craft of yours. Are you alright, if you'd like I've been blessed with some temporary residence in this land, maybe you can stay with me for awhile. There's lots that I can discuss with a fellow medicine man so to speak, plus you've done some traveling. If you don't mind the prying of a bored young woman, I'd love to hear some of your tales."
She wasn't just humouring the Mad Surgeon either, she did want to know mostly because it was her job to ask those types of questions, she was essentially border services for today. However that didn't mean she couldn't have some fun right? Mary was the Queen of subtlety(pitty I might be spelling it wrong, Smileey fail), just the other day she effectively interrogated a suspect and avoided confrontation on a National holiday in Batterillia. Talk about a soothsayer or perhaps a peacve walker or some such fancy title. Either way, she wouldn't move from her cozy spot not until the man was comfortable with her and after she had the basic information her job required from her. If need be, she could get a chore boy here to take her place but the coast in the North Blue was truly beautiful. It'd be like giving away a free pass to slack and it was her free pass for now.

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] He was happy that M grabbed his hand and was more happy he had a drinking partner. Calico began to walked, as he listen to M talk about the government, something he had with a red, hot, burning passion. He grew up arounds, in fact, his family life started with them being marines, which didn't make since why he hated the government. Thought that was his secret and his alone. Everything was going good..until she started talking about the chore boy. He saw this coming from a mile. []"Damn, so close too!"
[/i] He thought to himself as his face turn into a frown. He may have been a pirate but he had a heart. Son of a bitch! It sucked to have a heart. He thought with this, the date would end but then M, suggest a new and slightly better idea but still had no liquor in it! "Fine, your lucky I have a heart." Calico said with a smile. Damn, he was soft! He never should be soft being a pirate. What if this was a life or death sitution? "Drag me to this tree and we can talk. Thought, will you have some food and drinks? I'm haven't eaten since last night. Haha. Which isn't every smart if you think about it." Calico said, waiting to be dragged to a crappy old tree instead of an high class, bar! She noted how pleased he seemed with the rhetorical question of "Vacation time". Proof was in the pudding, in this case his hands rubbing back and forth as well as the smile that cracked upon his visage. Though she couldn't help but wonder what exactly got him so excited and before she could ask, he had a bit of a 'spat' concerning the government. She graciously took his hand at least, the man was a gentleman or so it seemed. Once she was up, she'd respond to his words.
"The government can definitely be cruel, in that sense they don't discriminate against anyone. As for the chore boy, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. The fact that you can start out in the military at such a young age, it breaks my heart. Since I had no patients today, I decided to help the boy out, y'know? However if you'd really like to go to a bar then I could call for the chore boy to resume his post, though that'd be a bit cruel. He may have found a friend or two to play with."
She turned to look to him, her positoning allowing her back to be away from sight. If he suspected that she was a marine, then the curve ball she just threw would throw his mind for a loop. Not just that, it was a bit of a subtle guilt trip. If he truly wished to head for a bar, then he'd end up hurting an innocent chore boy, something he must despise since he disliked the government.
"I am interested in your tales though, perhaps we can lay here beneath this tree and chat? It is a bit earlier to hit up the bar after all."
Playing coy with a snake was dangerous, she knew all kinds of buttons to push if need be.

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] Calico was happy that he had a drinking partner but was more happy that he was going to a bar! Finally, he was going to get some liquor into his blood. It had been 48 hours since he had his last drink and he was ready to drink again. He started walking, while listening to M, talk about the governemt which Calico hate with a red, hot, burning passion. He didn't really know why he hated the government when everyone in his family was a marine. Calico never understood that. It was kinda supid when you thought about it but he was the odd one of his family, so he didn't really get into being a marine like the rest. He felt he needed to follow his own goal. He had stopped when M, mention chore boy.
"Damn! So, close. So very close." Calico thought to himself while his happy face turn into a complete frown. He was gonna get something to drink with an hot lady but she had to mention the chore boy. He signed and spoke. [b"]"Fine, we won't go to a bar. You should be happy I have a heart."
[/b][/color] Calico said, playing the guilt card on her. It was still better then nothing but it wasn't a bar with liquor. "Take me to this tree. Do you also have food? I haven't eaten all day. He asked, as he started to become hungry.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Whilst he was incredibly happy and even walking on ahead (as if he honestly knew where he was going), M took the time to remove her marine coat. She turned it inside out and folded it neatly before resting it in a medical satchel she used to carry her supplies. Once he turned around, he seemed disappointed, even playing the guilt card. She pouted before speaking, "I'm sorry...I just couldn't bare to see him all alone watching the horizon." counter guilt trip in action.
Now then he questioned where the tree was, what a silly thing to ask. She'd simply sidestep, her arms flowing with her motion in order to reveal...the very tree she was laying under previously. Yes, they essentially would stay right near the docks of this wonderful Kingdom. As for some food, she'd unzip her satchel before revealing a rather large bento box. It had enough compartments for two but that was just a coincidence, surely?
"So, join me and have at it. I hear my food gets people talking easily." she smiled warmly, taking a seat under the tree before patting a spot to her left. A simple invitation and once more she was doing her job, watching the border and interrogating suspicious individuals. Speaking of which:
"So, tell me some of your tales. A seasoned doctor like you must have cured all kinds of patients, performed the most intense surgeries. How did you get your title 'Mad Surgeon' if I might ask? That type of title sounds like you've been on the battlefield." she looked rather concerned at that moment, more so for his wellbeing. Doctors weren't really meant to be on the front lines, pitty it was just an act huh?

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] This was so not what he wanted! This would never happen at a bar, never! He released his hand for her's, and watched the woman fold her white coat. While she fold her coat, he looked at her ass for a quick second but quickly covered his eyes with his hands. Once, again, she played the guilt card and she didn't miss a beat. "You have such a kind heart." Calico said, without realizing the what the crap he was saying. He covered his mouth and look around. Maybe it was a good idea that he wasn't going to a bar. There was no telling what shit could go down.
He ran over and jumped next to the doctor when she started talking about food. He was so hungry. "I bet it does but people say I talk when I have liquor. haha." Calico said, closing his eyes and smelling the food in the air. It smelled so good. She soon began talking about things that he had done...but on a pirate ship instead of a hospital like a normal doctor. 'I'll tell you everything but first, I'm going to start with why they call him Mad Surgeon. They call me Mad Surgeon is because I'm abit crazy. Other then that, I'm completely normal. I told something about me, so now you have to do the same."

Mary couldn't help but blink, in fact she blinked three times before she had a bit of a blush. Where to even start was what she wondered. Besides it's not like she really trusted anybody, especially men. She decided for a more subtle approach to things, revealing some alcohol for him before speaking up further.
"You're a sweetheart, you know that? I find it hard to believe you're a bit crazy. You sure that's not when you're drunk or something?" she decided buttering him up might be for the best, as she placed the alcohol to the side and opened up the lunchbox, displaying all that food the duo could partake in. The say the way to a man's heart is his stomach. Capturing Calico's heart, might help in her getting more information about him but more importantly, it was fun. Yes she was finding a way to have fun with this sleezly look-out job, it was hard to say if she really spared the poor chore boy or not.
"So...something about little old me. Well, they call me Dr. M because it's the first letter of my initials M-M-E. Cute huh?" she giggled, it was a weak start but there wasn't any imposed requirement of how much she tell him or what after all.
"So you're up again, tell me about your experience as a Doctor?"
Little did they realize or perhaps they knew all too well. They were engaged in a battle of wits, attempting to figure out the identity of the other. A delicate game of cat and mouse, whom would emerge the victor?

[shadow=white,left,300]"Judgement Shall Come."[/shadow] Calico eyes, spotted that he wanted all day...liquor. His eyes grew big and he stared at the bottle as though, it was his first time drinking. He started to reached for the liquor but M, started talking. He figured it would have been somewhat rude if he was drinking while she was talking. Doctor him then called him a sweetheart. His face blushed, while he slightly scratched the top of his nose. "Me a sweetheart, nah." He said giggling like a little boy with a crush on a teacher. He needed to man up. Once again, he reached for the liquor. Normally he would have drunk straight out of the bottle but since he was on a so called date, he poured into a small drinking glass. One for her and one for him. The fact that he wasn't going to be able to drink it all, killed him abit.
He took a small sip of his drink before the Doc, revealed why her name is M. "Interesting indeed and very cute." Calico said looking at the lunchbox. This was amazing, well he was referring to the food of course. He started drooling like a two year old. He was waiting for M to give him some but then she as why about his experience as a doctor. Crap, it would have seem that he needed to answer this question in order to get some. "Well my experience of being a doctor about three years ago when I was a former...um, marine. I left home and went to the West Blue to study. I meet alot of doctors who saved pirates, marines, and bounty hunters. So, basically, learned by being a male nurse. Haha." He laughed, as being a male nurse was very funny seeing how most nurse were women.
"So, now it's your turn. How did you become a doctor and how did you learn?"

Well, perhaps to some it could be interpreted as a date but really it was a subtle tango towards destruction. Each passing remark, every subject, it all served to follow the rythmn. Out of her perhiperal vision, she could see how the man lusted for the alcohol, though he was polite enough not to take any while she spoke. More so, once she was finished he took some and poured a glass for two: "A romantic huh, this should keep things interesting."
The next bait in her arsenal was the food. He really wanted to eat, poor sap must have went days without eating on those open seas. She wouldn't let him eat until after he finished his story, but once he was done, she slided his portion of the box so he could dig in. Now it wouldn't be a tango if she didn't have to do some dancing herself right? He asked about how she became a doctor, which was actually pretty easy to respond to:
"My father was a Doctor, perhaps the best Family Doctor in town. With his hands he did good for the people, despite the opression of the government and it's unforgiving taxation. He was so kind..." tears welled within those sockets, though she quickly turned away to wipe them with the back of her sleeve.
"Hey, you were a marine once huh, what division were you in? I hope you strived for justice." she flashed a fake smile at that moment before taking some of the food herself. She didn't touch any of the alcohol though. In fact, as he would eat, she simply poured some more for him. Alcohol was an amazing truth serum for some people, perhaps she'd get some honest answers yet.

Calico rubbed his chin, as he thought about what he just told her. It left a giant hole...that hole was what does he do now. He should had just said he was still a marine or a bounty hunter. God! He was starting to lose his mind around this woman. If he was around someone else, he would have easily said that he was still a marine and that would be the end of that shit! He grabbed his glass and finished the remaining liquor off, so he would stop talking. He grabbed the bottle and refilled his glass. Calico started shakingt his head. He needed to get his ass back into this game. He poured the liquor from his glass, down his throat, trying to relax. He placed the glass down to see a box that M slided him.
He bowed before M, a form of thanking her for the food. It wasn't much what he normally ate but it was better then nothing. He grabbed out a clean scapel and started using as fork. From what M told him, it would have seem that it was problem if she didn't become a doctor but that was how he looked at things. Just when he thought M was finished with her questions, it was his turn, yet again. With some food, hanging from the corner of his mouth, he spoked. "I was apart of division one. My father's old crew. Yeah."
