"Rise and drink from the cup of your own destruction! Or fall, forfeit your lives into the bosom of our benevolence as your Lords and Masters and remain as you always have been; very much alive..." Eli projected from the peak of the portcullis separating the external seas from the internal floating landmass that was Thriller Bark. A large and somewhat ostentatious mouth wasn't exactly Church's style but he didn't have to think about it much; it was all going to change soon enough. Moments passed and only the whipping wind came as his reply. Wild shaggy locks lashed against his face and danced to the left almost horizontally, fingers drummed along the dirty white wrap chocking the hilt of his Tsunami, almost eagerly. Today was a momentous day for both the Legacy Pirates and Thriller Bark itself; ones that would rise to control the entire blue ocean had decided first to begin with a base of operations that could swim through it. A fitting headquarters. Maybe they wont fight back after all. Shame... Eli mused silently to himself as his eagle eyes scanned the top of the internal barrier wall. There were bodies moving and what seemed to be like hushed conversations on the edges of gusts but nothing that would indicate an armed reprisal. Yet.
Judging from the angle and height of the sun in the sky, Eli estimated a solid few hours of sunlight before the cloak of night was pulled over the horizon. Remembering what Nikon, the Crew's El Capitano, had briefed those taking part in the usurping of power had imparted; numbers, forces, layouts etc, Eli was readying himself for his particular role in the upcoming episode. "Extrapolating the likelihood of resistance, Eli, you are to put down any and all swords raised in our direction as quickly as possible. You will not be alone in this task but in drawing the majority of attention you will make everyones' roles significantly easier." Though bronze and godly, Eli did have a certain lack of clothing and the chilly wind was beginning to affect him for the worse. While the flat of Tsunami rested on his right shoulder, Eli got his arms into moving in an attempt to stave off the cold and generate some heat before making his move. It would've been silly to start a brawl without at least easing muscles and ligaments into life first.
Turning to the right slowly, Church counted down to three in his head before pushing into the reinforced wood below his feet and bounding along the perimeter wall toward a massive chain anchored to said wall and climbing through the air, connecting to the central mansion of the island. Hopping from one to the other, in a matter of ten seconds Eli had thrown himself into the air; aiming his flying self onto a watchtower of sorts. Free-falling for a few seconds was always something Church enjoyed; the freedom and excitement of not totally being able to control oneself. The thrill was short lived as with his landing came a thundering crack as the force pulverized the rock underfoot and cracked several meters of the outlying tower. With that the invasion had started. At least, what those within earshot would understand as an invasion. With Nikon Fausto directing this mission, it was safe to say the invasion started weeks ago and the regular Joes were only getting the chance to realize it now.
Aiming down the blade of his drawn and flourished weapon, Eli ushered in the bodies to his sides atop the adjoined towers to come and face him in that overly theatrical warrior way swordsmen like Eli were so used to. If things went his way, he'd earn some sport. If things went Nikons' the people would understand their situation and succumb without bloodshed. Either way however, the Legacy Pirates were sending waves across the waters no one could ignore.

Bloodshed was far from the desired outcome of any venture undertook by the Chessmaster. Whilst the Legacy Pirate Captain could see that sometimes it was necessary, he tried his best to formulate his planning away from the spilling of blood. After all, that which is won through violence is invariably lost through it as well. To this end, the white haired wonder had been slipping bribes to the right people within Thriller Bark for the past few weeks in order to ease the upcoming transition into his control. The louder and brasher pirates who called the place home, those who would most likely have something to say about his claim, had been paid off and were sure to ensure those around them kept quiet as well. But Nikon Fausto was a schemer at heart, and he knew there would most likely be someone standing up to them despite his efforts. And that was where Elias Church and Plans B through Z came in.
Church was the antithesis to Nikon. Where Nikon preferred quiet and solitude for the most part, Eli was one for jumping in at the deep end of bar room brawls and loud drinking sessions as often as possible. But despite the obvious differences, ones that confused most who encountered them together, there was one thing that held them together beyond what anyone could hope to break. Trust. Eli wasn't First Mate aboard the Archive for his good looks and enjoyment of hitting things hard, though they helped. He was in his position because the trust shared between him and his superior officer. He trusted in Nikon to plan for his survival no matter what, and Nikon trusted the brash swordsman to ensure his part in the plan went off without a hitch. It was a good arrangement.
Hearing the Titan's dulcet tones scream out across the immediate area of the inner wall encompassing the ramshackle island, Nikon allowed a rare smile to stretch across his face for a brief moment before banishing it back into the aether of emotion. It wouldn't do to get worked up now, it was a long way before the take-over was complete after all. Walking along a leisurely pace, the only thing that set him apart from the twirling masses around him was that he was heading towards the voice, not away from it. Hancock should be moving into position himself about now, but that was another concern. The cook could be trusted with his own part in the proceedings, he wouldn't be let on the damned ship if he wasn't smart enough to follow orders on a job after all!
Reaching the large battlement that served to create a complete killing ground between the outer and inner walls, Nikon entered one of the towers whilst checking his inventory silently. The white coat he wore was enough to let anyone who knew him in on the fact he was serious about this endeavour, it only came out on show when he expected to get someones blood all over him. After all, silk suits were hardly combat gear. But this also meant he had an extremely large number of Scalpels, his weapon of choice, on his person at this time. Time to get to work. Reaching the top of the tower closest to that of Church, he watched his First Mate in his antics and readied himself to react at a moments notice. Keeping himself out of sight, it would take someone actually looking for him to find him in the shadow of the tower, and the large piece of stonework itself covered him from most directions. If someone could manage to spy the Chessmaster, he would undoubtedly be able to catch a glimpse of them himself. The game had begun.
"So begins our Legacy."

OOC
I'm fairly sure that since 48 hours has past since the last post, we've gotten our territory unchallenged? That's how I read the rules at least.
