” To those who wait.”
Peaceful… The waters seemed to barely have any roughness to them at all in fact this chef couldn’t believe his luck. Of course he was still shocked from the events on the beach, but after vacating the human infested beach… He stumbled upon a box that had washed up against the shore, what pirate could honestly resist this? Within the box Hei pulled out a old Diadem: silver in color, but it’s design obviously plotted out it belonged to king… Though the note in the bottle giving a hint to the finder was more than appreciated.
It wasn’t more than 10 hours since the noble left the shores of the beach and took a near by raft out to sea his destination? Unknown, but none the less it wasn’t as if he would starve to death or die of dehydration unlike humans he could find anything he needed within the waters, but even so he hadn’t suspected this boat of his to be such a wreck… Thin sheets of metal were stashed on the other side as if to fix any holes that came.
“Trash..” Hei-bai said thinking of the boat, but that mood soon changed when he felt a slight tingle from the Diadem that now rested hidden under lavender strands… Thinking nothing of it he continued on floating in the same destination for about an hour.
“I’ll deal after a nap.”

With those words the noble closed his eyes and let himself drift off, but who does that and wakes up a day later in the middle of a storm? Obviously Hei-bai since this was the experience he was having! Not panicked, but confused he hadn’t heard the roar of thunder nor the bolts of lighting that were most likely hiding within the skies above… Even the waters turned choppy it wouldn’t be long until he was pushed into the harsh waters, but it was even more of a bother that he couldn’t get the riddle of the diadem out of his mind at such a moment. “Okay! Challenge accepted.!” He raised his voice to the skies who he felt was looking down on him, sending a massive wave that nearly toppled his boat over … Soaking his entire being in fresh water, he could feel the hakama embracing him tightly , as it was his only form of clothing at the moment besides what hid in the lower decks, his reel and blades still clung to that obi-sash nothing was done for yet, but surely this boat would go.
No one was around to see this act of intelligence heh then again no one would be foolish enough to ride straight into a storm, of course he had one of those ‘damnit ‘ moments. Moving quickly Hei-bai grabbed one of the pieces of metal and placed it at the floor of the boat, his movements were slow and careful as to not tip over the already unstable boat. At this point Hei couldn’t help but feel as if the gods were against him if they were even out there. First his crew’s disbandment because of betrayal, but now, now they were trying to rid of him in this storm? Perhaps they have forgotten but he was a noble warrior of the Bai family. “I am Yuhei-Bai’s first son!” His voice echoed out it was his way of declaring he would not perish from the seas that were his home!
Powerful hands gripped the sides of the boat and held on nearly cracking the decaying wood, the boat suddenly took a tangled position unfortunately being placed on the back of a wave which rose higher into the air preparing to slam Hei-bai’s vessel into another oncoming wave. ‘heh’. Electric currents ran through out the noble eel’s body feeding its positive charge into the board below while his magnetic field tightened in on him and gave himself a negative charge, but that wasn’t just it… Rising further with the wave Hei damn near jumped for well not his life, but his pride as a man reaching to the skies above… It was a near by lighting strike that sent passion into the board below being attracted to those negative ions above, that board went diving straight for it, but of course it was more than Hei expected the moment the strike faded the board seemed to have lost its will and was aimlessly flying further… His quick movements and strength are the only thing he can thank for allowing him to hook his fishing reel through the metal board it was his way of keeping track of it, if by some way his magnetic field didn’t…
The view Hei had the chance to take in was like none he had ever seen, it was as if staring into the sky from the deeps how beautiful his ocean was from the air.. Was this what nature was showing him? A out of place smile crept on the face of the noble who awaited his destiny allowing that tail of his to pierce through the hakama and extend the full 10 feet .. Vents opened and more than prepared to rid any excess voltage which was soon to come when another flash of light called out to him, as if his electric pull was being beckoned by the lighting itself , in a strong stance like a pro-surfer Hei flew through the air towards the bolts last location rubber banding himself further it was this way that he found himself rising higher and higher, but what happened next was completely out of place.. Even after taking a few dangerous bolts and re-directing them Hei-bai finally found himself no longer worried about the issues of his life.. His mind had cleared and become at rest, his past, crew, family, friends all of it seemed to be at ease within the spirit, these were his moments of joy riding along the charge of a strong bolt that finally sent him beyond the clouds.
Doubt that he was the first crept in his thought process, but it was all wiped away when he saw the world that was beyond human and fishmen grasp.. It seemed as if it was going to stay that way when his body begun to sink back , Hei took that board from his feet and whisked it with all his might while holding up that middle finger of his to say ‘fuck you surface hating bastards’ assuming that whatever lived in this place was a god or angel either way he didn’t care, but what he hadn’t expected was for a large bird… Decorated in funky colors grasping that metal and dragging it with it through the sky… Which in turn begun to drag the noble warrior since his hook was still stabbed into the metal. “Oh! I call bullshit!” His final words since he couldn’t take the annoyances anymore that or his stamina finally ran thin.. He was at the mercy to a creature he knew nothing of that was his thought process, but what happened between his capture and his waking was a total blank since Hei-bai woke up surrounded on clouds surrounded by many foxes that merely kept they’re distance… Where in the hell was he…. These were the thoughts of a warrior following a letter in a bottle with a crown, urging him to take to the sky…. “Hah! I showed you my pride.” Final words from the victor before falling back on a bed of clouds.
