Having a spirit walk through you was not the most comfortable of experiences. It caused her to shudder slightly. So his companion was a spirit? And one who could chose to be tangible and intangible. It was fortunate for Haruki that the spirit was here because that attack would likely have taken out Haruki's legs. They had already suffered one padella and the mezzopadella would of done more damage. It had cleared a large area.
"Well it seems your spirit saved your skin." Catherine remarked flexing her fingers. "Let's see her stop this." With that she thrust her hand forward using her taglierre once more. At a closer range it would be more painful. Proabbly send him through a few more walls. Even if the spirit got in the way it would still probably do some damage to Haruki if only because the spirit should find it difficult to regain her intangibility in time to stop herself flying with force into Haruki. "Taglierre."
She was aiming to take him down bit by bit. It shouldn't take long for him to be too worn out. She was highly impressed he had managed to survive so long. He had really improved if he could withstand what he had received so far. Plus he was more resourceful. The spirit seemed to have only intervened when it would be critical if it didn't. A useful ally. Speaking of allies...with his strength and his profession she had begun thinking up a deal that would serve them both well.

Haruki mumbled something that sounded like a curse word as the attack hit him, sending him through the wall. And this time, he was unable to get up. The damage he had taken was too much for him to get back up. He could have kept fighting from the ground, but against a woman that can send earthquakes at him? No way. He would just take unneeded damage that way. He sighed. So this was the extent of his abilities.
Eralia followed Haruki as he went flying, staying within 5 meters of him to avoid being dragged along. ”Well, considering what you told me of the last time, you lasted way longer. You happy now you doof?” She said, sighing while shaking her head looking down at him. She then looked at Catherine. If she were to attack again, she would have to take over Haruki’s body to avoid his death. But for some reason, Eralia thought that she was holding back. As if his death was the exact opposite of what she wished.

Catherine re-holstered her weapon and took a deep calming breath. Victory had been achieved though it had been a lot harder then she expected. If she had been going all out with the intent to kill she probably would of defeated him a lot more swiftly, but she had not wanted to kill him. She saw promise in the young man's eyes. A desire to become stronger, if only to beat her. She would not stifle that will via death. No, she would help it blossom into true power.
"You are a lot tougher then last time. And by the looks of it you've got no broken bones." Catherine said walking over towards Haruki. Yet, he was a lot tougher. Even to have survived one of her attacks was impressive and that wind slash would of been fatal if she wasn't who she was. She had other ways to block it, but with the exception of Yakkodori she did not like to use her santoryu. No, she would wait till she was closer to mastering the ability or was forced to use it before she did. She looked at the spirit. "I will not harm him further spirit. That is a promise." With that she lifted the man up into her arms as if he weighed little. She was very strong, especially for a woman. "I'll take him somewhere safe before marines show up and try to arrest us both for destroying this area, though that was mostly my doing."
Catherine walked through the streets carrying Haruki till they came to another warehouse. This one was also abandoned, but fortunately not destroyed. With a powerful kick she booted open the door and walked in placing Haruki on some old crates in a seated position before closing the door. Light filtered in through cracks and through old, dirty windows. It was dim, but enough to see by.
"I have a proposition to make to you Haruki." she said calmly her manner completely business like. "You are strong, far stronger then you think. With my aid catching a few pirates or marines should be of no difficultly for you. It will raise my bounty and your fame and we will split the profits. You will get 60% and I will get 40%. Do we have a deal?"

Haruki was unable to move for the most part, but he was still awake. He could tell what that was happening when Catherine grabbed him and carried him off, with Eralia walking behind them. Although they left the battle aura infused air, she stayed visible for both of them. When she put him down, he had recovered enough to move his upper body. Listening to her proposal, he tilted his head. A companionship with a pirate? The possibility to get bigger bounties were…tempting. But there was also the morals. Oh, wait. He did not have morals. He kept forgetting that. Eralia looked at him from behind Catherine, nodding slowly. She agreed.
”Tempting. Very tempting. Being two makes getting bigger bounties way easier…and my teacher here seems to agree. Fine, I will team up with you. If only to be able to look at you in action.” he said. And with in action, he actually meant looking at her body. Those curves could kill. And well, there was a very good reason for him to hate perverts. He hated competition..

She grinned. He had agreed to her little proposal, but did he know the cost? Well, she supposed it was best to inform him. Not a good idea to spring surprises on people at the last minute. She extended a hand to him with the palm facing upwards as if expecting something.
"Compensation for slapping my ass. I'd say 10mil" she said cheekily. Money was what she needed at the moment. If not for her, then for her crew. "And my prize for beating you. 50mil should do nicely." She winked at him. "So that's 60mil total. Don't worry you'll make it back easily with my help"

Haruki blinked as she spoke about compensation, but he knew that it was better to pay up than resist. Knowing how hard she hit….yeah. He pulled out some money from his jacket, counting them. He then placed 60mill into her palm, grinning. Well, money was needed by everyone after all. He then got an idea. ”Does that mean I can pay you to slap your butt?” He said, holding back a laugh. Eralia facepalmed. She had known him long enough to know he would ask, and yet she did not expect it. Typical.

Catherine seemed slightly taken aback by his question, but pocketed the 60mil in berri. She sat there for a while considering the question and then she grinned and raised a finger.
"Aye, but it will cost you 10mil extra every time." she told him. That seemed fair he got something he wanted, she got something she wanted. "So if you slapped it again you'd owe me 20mil, then 30, then 40." Yes, that would work ideally for her. Eventually, if he kept it up for a while she'd owe him loads. "And if you don't pay up...." she punched her palm to demonstrate. "and the more you owe the harder I hit."

Haruki laughed a little as she spoke. Well, at least that was cleared up. ”which means I will have to make them worth the money then. But what now? You got any plans for what to do next? Someone to go after? Somewhere to rest? Anything?” He asked. He also got another question involving money and beds, but he would ask that some other time. When he was capable of running….
Eralia shaked her head a bit in disappointment before she addressed Catherine. ”I am Eralia. I used to be a Bounty Hunter…Before I died. Now, I train Haruki here. Gods know he needs it.” she said, shaking her head again.

"Perhaps." she said in response to him saying he'd have to make them worth it. It seemed she had unleashed a perverted monster, but providing he paid well she did not really care as long as that was how far it went. She considered his second question for a longer time. There were plenty of people she would like to take down. A few marines and a few pirates. Yet all of them were incredibly powerful "As for plans, there are a few people i'd like to take down, but neither of us are strong enough. If you need to rest i'll take you back to my crew's ship."
As the spirit introduced herself she merely nodded in agreement and introduced herself in return. She was Catherine West, friends often called her Kitty, but she was more often known as Disaster Zone and with good reason.
"Before we go chasing bounties I think we need to improve your control of your invisibility, which i'm guessing is a devil fruit." she said which would likely get a nod from Erallia in agreement. "And of course your physical abilities. You are tough, but compared to some of the marines or pirates we are after you are merely a wasp at their picnic. Annoying, but easily dealt with"

Haruki and Eralia nodded in agreement to what she said. ”It’s true that my psychical strength is lacking, but what I lack there I regain in speed. If you had not taken out my feet I would not have been so easy to deal with. But are you sure bringing me, a Bounty hunter, to your crew’s Pirate ship is such a good idea?” he asked. He would rather die in battle than getting his throat slit while asleep.
Eralia took it upon herself to explain Haruki’s devil fruit powers, telling Catherine about the weaknesses and limits of his control of it at this time. And that Haruki’s lower body had yet to recover. So rest would be the smartest option.

"Aye." she said in response to his comment about his speed. It seemed luck had favoured her in this case. If she hadn't of used padella on him right near the start in response to the butt slap then he might of stood a chance. "I'm not the fastest person ever, though I improve gradually, which is why I devised the padella to damage people's legs and cut their speed down." She listened to the explanation. So it bent light to turn him and other objects invisible. Quite a useful skill. Heck, combined with Elias Church, a pirate she knew from her old crew, they'd be a deadly bank robbing duo. Church would open his 'doors' and Haruki would make them both invisible. Then bam the job was done before anyone even knew what was happening. Quite a pair they would make. The thought of Haruki with Church's power almost made her shudder. His invisiblity was bad enough, but even with a locked door Church could pop in. That would be perfection to a pervert like Haruki.
She considered her crew's reaction to bringing a bounty hunter ally on board, a valuable asset. Probably not the best idea at this stage. "Probably best not to go to the ship yet. Not till i've explained things and convinced them. Plus if Merry gets pissed at you he will probably tear you apart." She said thinking aout the fishman in his frenzies. Quite fearsome. Practically a juggernaut with those berserk rages of his. "We'll rest here I think."

Haruki blinked at the mention of merry. ”A fishman? With enormous strength? Reminds me of something that happened in illusia not so long ago. Believe it or not, a huge stone arc came out of nowhere and started spewing out demons. I heard someone call that fishman merry. The fishman actually threw the other guy at a giant demon. Not an event I want to experience anytime soon.” he said. He agreed with her on the other parts thou. Eralia snickered. ”It was after that that I linked myself to this dumbass.”

So Haruki had been involved with the demons? She had faced such a force herself. She had discussed it with her crew mates. Zero and Merry had been in Illusia. Zero had mentioned being thrown by Merry. It was a pretty funny story. It seemed that two members of her crew had met Haruki before.
"So you've met Captain Stone and Merry." she said calmly thinking about it. "I was involved in such an event in Torino with two of my crewmates. Fortunately, i was strong and resourceful enough to take the demons down" It didn't seem believable that it had happened in two places, but from what rumours said it had happened in four. "Torino, Illusia, Lyneel and Commi were supposedly all hit by demons. Odd isn't it?"

Haruki shrugged as she spoke. ”not really. If they were planning an invasion, going for those four places at once to establish a base in each blue makes sense. And I would not exactly say met them. Briefly seen each other maybe, but not met and talked. But this Zero person….i think he was mad at the giant demon for ignoring him, because he tried to kick it in its foot. Not the smartest thing to do.” he said, looking around in the abandoned warehouse. He then pulled off his sunglasses, and the computer in them shut off. This was actually the first time he had taken them off around her.

She considered the report that Zero and Merry had given her. Well, report wasn't the right word. It was more like bragging really, particularly from Captain Stone. It was probably the only tough thing he'd ever beaten. Plus he had Merry to help who was strong in his own right and Haruki, even if only as a dangerous distraction. Catherine had Phoenix and Dmitri. Dmitri had been taken out quite quickly by a surprise attack and Phoenix was used mostly as a distraction so the giant demon didn't focus its full attention on her. She'd killed all the small demons and the great one and accidently killed the summoner.
"Ya know I remember Zero and Merry telling me about the demons, but I don't remember the captain telling me about him kicking it on the foot." she said thoughtfully. She'd had to rely mostly on what Zero had told her to get an idea of what happened in Illusia mostly because when Merry went into a frenzy he didn't seem to remember much afterwards. "That would explain the heavily damaged leg though."
"SO what else have you learned since we fought? Don't remember you using that wind slash and you certainly couldn't turn invisible." she asked looking at him curiously. She wondered just what else this bounty hunter had learned. He had grown much stronger, probably for two reasons. One: to beat her and two: to be a better hunter. She had a feeling it was more the first then then second though.
