With such a beautiful land, one would think they would have decent or even good coffee. But, no the Marine who had been stationed here had to succumb to a bad cup of joe. She was one who admired the flavour of coffee; which was basically the only thing she drank. However, she paid for her small cup of coffee that she had only taken one or two sips from. Standing up she grabbed her tan-jacket from the seat besides her. She had been at a small place that served food. Anna wasn't much of one to complain about things, but she left with a small frown on her face.
Carrying her jacket over her shoulder, her guns in their holsters at her sides which she seemed show off valiantly. She didn't hide her status as a marine. Let it be if someone became afraid of her because of her status, but if they looked past her guns they would see a woman. As she stepped outside the small building she was greeted by her "patrol" dog who had been waiting patiently for her outside. He had been on guard all of the time she had been inside. She knelled down besides him and petted his head. However, she wasn't much of one to spoil him so she stood up right after and undid his leash from where she had tied it. Though, it was un-needed for he was a good dog. "Let's go, Rosco," she said to him giving him a gesture to follow her. She had undid his leash and put it in her pocket.
Walking down the street with her patrol dog at her heels. He didn't look much like a patrol dog or even one who would attack upon command. He was still a bit of a pup but Anna knew he had it in him to become her "partner", he practically already was. She had adopted him to fill a void a bit before she actually had joined the military and he had been with her ever since.
Anna had been here since yesterday, with a few other marines who were also to be stationed here. She was going to go meet them now. It was morning and Anna had just come from breakfast, alone. She hadn't seen the others yet but she had left the hotel earlier than them. She was always on time and was regularly early. She believed that if one got up early they would be able to do more the rest of the day. She wasn't sure where to meet the others but for now she walked towards the hotel in hopes of running into them. This was a sort of vacation for the marine; she had been sent here because she worked too hard. But, she had argued that she didn't need a vacation so they said that some marines were to be stationed here, but added in the fact that she should at least enjoy herself. Everything was business to Marine Hawkens-Wallace. A few people looked at her as she walked by, paying more attention to her fellow companion who followed at her heels. He sure was an adorable thing. She couldn't deny that.

New recruit Eliza Bellford, was one of the marines stationed in the Lyneel Kingdom. It was her first assignment, she hadn't even been drafted into a proper division yet. To think she "graduated" from the training of her fishmen sensei, now she would do her part in changing the world...even if she was running late.
That's right Eliza was running with a slice of toast in her mouth, bottle of water in her left hand and trusty cleaver on her back. She'd left the hotel rather late considering, thus she continued to berate herself for her poor showing. It wasn't like they were heading into battle, basic patrol and peacekeeping, but this was her first assignment. "Why, oh why did I oversleep?" yet as she asked herself, she recalled Von Treize. She wasn't sure where he was assigned, due to being split up at the recruitment.
Further up ahead was a dog and a young woman, how surprising. Upon coming closer, she realized that the person walking was a marine. Well if it was a comrade, it'd be okay t ocall out to her right?
"Hello there! Wait for me please!" Eliza yelled out happily. Meeting up with a comrade would be interesting, she needed to get acquainted after all. "Hi there, I'm Eliza Bellford, freshly recruited, I don't recall seeing you back at the hotel."
Always honest, though she could have chosen something else to say. It was mostly due to everything being so new, back home she wasn't like this. Surely she'd get into the swing of things soon though.

Anna thought it would be a relatively easy and relaxing day here. There hadn't been any commotion here, as of yet since she had been here. And how the day was starting it didn't seem like there was going to be anything troubling at all the rest of the day. But that was just her take on the day so far. One would never know what to expect, so she had to always be on the look out, especially with those nasty pirates.
She continued to walk down the street, it wasn't all that busy yet, since it was still relatively the morning. It was about ten in the morning and Anna had been awake since about six o'clock. She woke up just about the same time each day, it had become routine for her over the past few years since she had joined the Marines. However, as she walked casually along she wasn't expecting someone to call out to her. Turning around a bit, looking over her shoulder as she stopped in her tracks. She saw a young girl walking over to her and then introduced herself.
Of course, Anna's first reaction was she was a bit surprised by the girl being so young but she swore every year the recruitments got younger and younger. She casually waved her hand in the air, adding a small smile to her face as she did. Giving the new recruitment a greeting. "New recruit, eh?" she asked, "Hope they didn't toughen you up too much." she added, joking around.
"My name is Anna-Marie Wallace, it is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Eliza." the older female marine said introducing herself. "I suppose you are one of the marines who had been here before me? I got shipped out here later. Practically forced here, said it was suppos' to be relaxin' here," she explained, her voice holding a sort of accent though it was hard to place on what exactly the accent was. Suppose it was just the way she talked.
All the while, Rosco sat at his owner's feet, then yelped after Anna introduced herself. "Oh, and this is Rosco my patrol dog, practically part of the marines though," she said introducing the small pup at her side. Rosco walked over towards Eliza and began to whine. Anna have him a stern look and he stopped, however his tail moved back and forth as he sat on his hind quarters.

While Anna may have simply been following her morning routine, Eliza was trying to formulate a new routine. Prior to recruiting she'd have been up at 4AM. Her caretakers would have plenty of chores to do, which would get them physically fit, as well as warmed up for the day's martial arts lessons. However whilst Anna-Marie was practically forced to be stationed here, Eliza was assigned to Lyneel for her first assignment. In a sense, she knew the ropes of this place but that was about it. For now though, she looked down to Rosco whom whined at her initially. He was quickly scolded but he still seemed rather eager. Perhaps he was just excited to meet a new face?
"Aww, he's so cute. I didn't know we could have patrol dogs or was he assigned to you Anna-Marie?" she couldn't help but crouch down and smile at the young pup. Hopefully the large Cleaver along her backside didn't intimidate the poor thing too much. Then again, the thought that a cute girl like her could wield the thing was the scarier thought. Well, the older marine did tease about toughening her up..."Oh speaking of my time so far, other than constant patrol drills, we haven't done any physical training at all, so I'm probably still wet behind the ears." Eliza was rather honest when it came to these things.
"Oh but since we have done lots of patrol drills, I'm pretty familiar with our station. How long have you been here for, maybe we can patrol together?" patrolling by oneself, a drag. Patrolling with two? Well that was company, even if the situation itself was not ideal. They swore themselves to the government in order to protect people from the vigilantes of the sea. Yes, those pesky pirates were always causing trouble. Little did they both know that one of them was captured back at base. A rather notorious one to boot. Instead their story was about what should be a peaceful patrol...oh and bad coffee.
