"We'd been such fools..." The notoriety of Eternus Dues was...immense or so they thought. To think they too would participate in that foolish war. Swept away by the storm, it was a wonder any of the gods survived. Perhaps it was because of their "immortality" read: will power, that they made it. There were...few survivors. On this night, Logue Down was desolate mostly. Basked in a rain that never seemed to stop, the cries of the fallen gods no doubt.
Sitting in a tree which was not the smartest idea for most due to potential lightning, was Dr. M. The snake woman had somehow survived and perhaps through sheer fate, wound up back on ED's "territory". Garbed with her one piece black suit, her hood was up and covering her head. There was a look in her eye, perhaps a look of shock, perhaps it was just plain evil or maybe...it was just lifelessness. Where would the Doctor go now, making a living was very important to her, to say the least.
Who survived from the storm? She didn't know in fact she was only aware of her own survival at the moment. Her knees curled into her chest, her form mimicking a ball shape in order to keep warm.
"Perhaps mankind was never meant to achieve the status of God?" she said to no one in particular. Her words would simply be caried by the wind. "Perhaps I was just a fool..." it was rare for the Dr to be chiding herself so much but what else could she say? The crew had screwed up and fallen from glory. She herself was apart of that crew and shore in the downfall as well as any "glory" they had attained.

Behind the green tint of his lenses, scarlet pools devoured the insidious women; Ajax was never one to judge, but he could tell that times had changed. They were enclosed in a rather small area, the more poverty stricken side of Loguetown really hit the nail on the head—not everything was what it appeared to be at first glance. A deep well in the center of the area (likely the main source of water) provided the god a place to sit as he appeared next to the female. Eyes gazing off but peripherals remained on her lithe physique.
The hand nearest his old care taker pressed calmly on the granite construct of the well, feeling no loose materials as it brushed along the surface, revealing the grooves and bumps. The other hand hung to his side, hidden from sight, but a familiar leather handle was within reaching distance. Inhaling, Ajax turned his head to M's, words of kindness seemed to be just silver-tongued. "Hmm... Surprised to see you again. Seems fate has a fucked up sense of humor," the ex-marksman mused. The sun radiated warmth upon the hard beat warriors of the sea. The road they once shared, had diverged; now the two paths fought for dominance. A sad fortune, though even the tarot cards could not have predict this outcome.
"Don't be surprised if Hei-Bai shows up...his food was so terrible, who decided him to be cook?" Ajax chuckled in nostalgic thought. He stood to face the serpent, observing her for traces of wicked thoughts. She was always a sly fox, difficult to predict—a unique advantage one might say. With the area empty for now, the male released a bit of anger that had festered within him. With great speed his fist descended upon the stone floor, smashing the surface inwards several feet. Shaking the debris off, he smiled; ironic how the most friendly of eternus deus beheld the most physical strength.

Soft-yet distant eyes peered along the cold streets of this slum of course the last place he would want to come back was the home away from home. Truly to live through such a thing was it grace or a failure? Hei-bai turned his face to meet the tears of the skies, shocked that the humans around him would dare allow this precious gift from the gods go to waste surely this was a grace…
Taking to his feet the warrior released the many bandages that made up his clothing and left his entire upper half exposed to receive the blessings of the sky. It was all to funny honestly Hei-bai couldn’t believe it… Whoever was responsible for this betrayal had no clue of the death that awaited them when this noble warrior found them! Just the simple thought of this whole situation lifted that rage that he hid so well and brought it to the surface.
“Damnit!” He roared out and sent those fist into the closest wall ignoring all signs of pain, as on-lookers did nothing more, but watch the white strands of this fallen god collide with the stone wall, his barrage was more than a match in fact it barely survived the first power packed punch the second was a overkill… Nothing ,but dust particles remained slowly being cleared away by the embrace of raindrops and left him there staring at the new opening, but to his shock… The good doctor and that smartass Ajax were there.. Heh it seemed that Ajax couldn’t hold his anger either, but to disrespect his cooking? That was going to far he was more than lucky Hei wasn't able to hear such insults.
Heavy steps came next with this man who donned the title Poseidon curiously made his way to his old comrades.. “Oi… Ajax you mad?” Something he had gotten from that man so many times finally a chance to pass it back at him. Continuing on the warrior made his way to stand next to those who were like family he was well within reach to flash a smirk at Ajax, and turn to his partner. "And hows the good doctor holding up?" It was in these types of situations that he would only be at his best when calmed down. [/blockquote]

"Nothing to fight for." Beaten, this was what these three Gods were. They'd fallen from grace, the heavens weeping at their misfortune or perhaps they were the tears of their Captain and first mate, respectively. M couldn't help but turn her head to look down towards the ex-marksman. Her positon atop the tree allowed her a good view over this portion of Logue Town. Ajax's words seemd to just bounce off her, though she couldn't help but look around for Hei-Bai, whom sure enough did approach the group. Naturally he was having a hard time containing his rage.
That establishment which he took his rage on didn't hold up as proof. Poseidon was quite angry and Dr. Snake couldn't blame him. She'd ease herself down from the tree, landing nimbly a few feet away from Ajax. Truth be told, she couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten a proper meal. Her stomach growling moments after Hei-Bai's comment about anticipating his food. "I'd...like some of your food right now, admittedly." she said it in a depressed tone of voice. It was not like the sly snake of a woman at all. This was because someone had betrayed the gods.
Artemis was not happy about the betrayal at all. True Pirates may not be the most honourable of men but every rogue had a code. The simplest of codes was to never betray your crew, that was akin to thieves stealing from their guild, sure there was no honour among thieves but a guild was not unlike a family. A safe haven so why betray it? Well, regardless...when dealing with those not on the side of the law; it was to be expected. Their notoriety was just too great, they captured this legendary town with ease and dared to go against the law.
"However before we go further, let me just state what's on everyone's mind. Who betrayed us? How in the world did the Marines know our location? That war was supposed to be a sure fire success and we were set to emerge on top! That was a low blow for the government swine, yet many of them didn't emerge from that Storm either. We're lucky to be alive but I want answers!" Artemis was practically screaming at this point, her composure completely lost.
"Worse yet, how are we supposed to survive?! This world runs on money and without a crew...we have nothing. Even the peasants of this pathetic town look down upon us! To think we were Gods..." she practically spat that last word, turning to look away from her crew mates. Things had just spiralled well out of control, far out of the comfort zone of the snake. There could be no sign of treachery here...

It had seem that she had lost hope, no more sly plots to arise higher in this world of scum could fill her clouded mind. Apollo chuckled as the words rang through his head, it hit him hard, someone once so filled with pride could now be on their knees begging for a chance to live in this world.
I smiled, using happiness as the sharp pointed edge of my facade. "Silly M...Gods have never had it easy, even they can feel the might of those weaker than themselves. Look at mythology, tales of the human race loosing faith and breaking out into a war against the gods." He paused, allowing the example to set in before his tone grew serious. "But in the end... the gods rise to show the world their power. I have made it my duty to reemerge into this new era as knife stabbing into the throat of society."
The metaphor was gruesome, but it held no light words. Ajax Nitidus, ex-marksman of Eternus Dues meant to show these jail baits what it meant to be free—to live the life of a pirate. "Money is nothing without pride. Life is meaningless if you let it drag you down. So, tell me this...M...Hei...Would you have it be that we were disgraced as souls of this world, even in our own eyes? Or would you find what ignites your passion and die a man, or a women, of dignity," he mused. And although he wasn't one to give speeches, he hoped to spark a small fire in each of his comrades hearts; suffering should not happen to those who give so much to the world.
Turning away he adjusted the shades upon his face, a green tint protecting him from the glare of the sun. "Lets find cafe..i'm fucking starved." the male cooed as he pressed forth, expecting the two to follow.

Post by DEIMOS NOMONA! on Mar 20, 2011 12:56:38 GMT -6
"Ha, seems that you three betrayed Eternus Dues. Two of you joined a new crew, and one became a marine. Tsk, tsk." The words escaped the thin cherry lips of the king god; Deimos Nomona. He had finally returned after the long battle with the marines, but only to come back to some pathetic form of his old crew. Things have changed it seemed, and this change was something he wasn't liking at all. His lithe frame began to walk closer to his former crew mates, slowly and cautiously, not knowing how they would react to seeing their old captain. Would they be happy or would they be upset for the fact he disappeared and never told them why? "Ajax, I like the new style. But I don't like the new crew you rep, but hey I don't blame you. I was gone for too long..." And that was very true, he had missed half of the world it seemed, but he was still the same Deimos. The one who possessed the mera mera no mi, the man who took over loungetown, the man who had marines coward before him. Yes, he was still that man, and he was coming back for his throne, for his world! Maybe it would happen overnight or in a couple of months, who knows? He was determined to complete his goal no matter how long it took him to do it. But first he would need to clean himself up, the poor sap had somewhat of a beard, his hair was messy, and his clothing wasn't all that. He still had his thick gloves, and his two seastone blades upon his waist. "So, care to discuss what's new with this world that I'm going to take soon?"

” Rain crimson in the darkness”
The atmosphere was already as grim, but the mood went straight to hell when the good doctor finally brought up what was resting on everyone’s mind, and for her to be so emotional it was so out of character that it truly plagued his own thoughts, whoever it was would surely not be forgiven… At least that’s what was lurking inside this chef, his eyes immediately turned to Ajax who begun to try and comfort, and ease the atmosphere which for him wasn’t out of character that was after all one of his good traits.. Hei-bai blinked when the café was mentioned. “What you mean? I can make a meal much better than any of those no talented cooks. Even the doctor praised me.” Hei-bai said with pride, even now he was a chef.
It seemed that things would finally calm down, the Fishman took a look to the sky, his gaze turned to the clouds above and with a final deep breath the nobleman let all of his frustration go… There wasn’t anything else he could do until the one he betrayed them was brought in front of them, ‘heh one day.’ he thought turning his attention from the heavens back to the earth, but much to his surprise all movements were halted by the sound of a familiar voice calling out to them… “Captain?” Hei-bai turned stood stunned staring at the vision of they’re captain who came from out after missing for so long.. “Betrayed Eternus Dues?” He asked to himself sure that he did no such thing! What the doctor said wasn’t too far off one has to make a living in this world even a slave set free will eventually look for a way to stable they’re life using whatever they’re best at, but betrayal of the crew surely fell on someone else.
It was interesting to Hei-bai that Deimos knew of Ajax joining a new crew, but Hei was nearly stunned when he heard that the Snake had joined the Marines, after all she was just speaking so harshly of them, what in the hell was she thinking? Bringing up thoughts of a betrayal if it was his old partner … The mood had went from good to shit in a moments notice and paranoia seemed to put this pirate on his guard.

Fastfoward, rewind, pause, neither of these functions could stop the greatest revelation of the fallen gods. Their leader, Deimos had returned from the dead. The man whom was supposedly lost in the storm, there he was. He had a bit of a beard but his red eyes, they were practically the same as when they went into that stupid war. Of course, they had been talking about a traitor amongst the ranks yet here was the Captain insinuating that these three remnant gods were the traitors? Their crime: betrayal of Eternus Dues.
There was a flash of lightning in the sky at that moment. Signifying that the tears from the sky were quickly turning to rage. Deimos had berated them, how could they fall apart and leave the ship of the gods? It was quite simple, like Noah's ark, not many were on it, those that were on the ark were allowed back to the ocean blue. Those that weren't, well they were wiped from this earth so then...where was Captain Deimos on this ark? This snake was about to reveal all.
"Captain, your words wound us all. Surely if your words are true it would mean that not only did you survive which we can plainly see, but that you failed to gather Eternus Dues after the war. Why would that be the case when you seem to be so in the know?" the snake's words were so innocent, starkly contrasting the anger she felt before but why? Well her form was trembling not in fear but in the same anger she had previously held. She could hardly stand to look at her Captain anymore...
"Before you acuse us fallen gods of betrayal, why don't you tell us the truth of that night. I'm sure our First Mate is weeping for us as we speak...though wether it's teers of sadness or simply humour; I'm sure you'll be the one to reveal that to all of us."
She then looked to her fellow crewmates, her eyes narrowing now but to scorn anyone present. No, there was a darkness that she'd been hunting down and while Deimos spoke of true words, if he was watching her like he had the others, then he would know there was no point in denying any of her words, her anger was because she knew, she knew the deadly secret.

The voice echoed in his ear like a gunshot from close range, stopping the marksman dead in his tracks. His head cocked to the side until the site of the red haired captain came into his peripherals, then he returned his forward gaze. Taking another step, his following actions would coming as a surprise. Lithe movements carried him backwards at blinding speed, motions were blurred greatly as the male pivoted, arriving in the face of his former captain in less than a second.
The split second of his actions were an improbable time for reaction, and if Deimos were a man of low magnitude, death could be upon him in this amount of time. But the lethal force behind the fist which jettison from abdomen with blurred movements had not been aimed at the captain—only centimeters from his flesh. Ajax's bone crushing fists rocketed past Deimos's face missing contact intentionally, though wind would rush by the smaller males physique showing the extent of the power.
If that didn't properly display Apollo's new found strength, then he might see the extent of his power in the near future. Standing up right, the blond haired male would begin to grin. "Welcome back nigger, wheres the souvenirs?" he chuckled, lightly pressing on the males chest with his fist. The fierce countenance had faded as quickly as it had come, but the pirate was back to his happy mood. ".. but seriously, don't ever call me a traitor again. You're the nigger who upright bounced when shit started getting hectic," he cooed loudly. It had seemed that no ill feeling were targeted towards the Captain of Eternus Deus, at least from his old marksman.
