- Bandanna; What some describe as a tiger striped bandanna, stretched out to come to a length of four fet is one of Gritz's most prized possessions. Oddly pattenered with arrows instead of lines it is unknown if the bandanna is orange with black arrows, or the other way around. Small almost invisible pockets have been sown into the bandanna where Gritz stores a variety of needles for both medical, and combative purposes. He can no longer remember how, or from who he received the bandanna but he gets the feeling it was from a family member before he changed his name, and ran off.
- Jar of Dirt (Bag of Dust); Commonly referred to as a jar of dirt when teased, Gritz carries a small pouch of dust tied around his waist for easy access. In side the pouch is a mix of graveyard dirt, snakeskin, ash, powdered sulfur, salt, powdered bones, powdered insect chitin, dried manure, herbs, spices and "anvil dust", all ingredients commonly used in hoodoo, or voodoo spells. This strange concoction can be used for a variety of spells, and curses though their success rate all depends on the belief on the caster, and victom.
✘ WEAPONS:
- Acupuncture Needles; Hidden within various small pockets along his bandanna, Gritz's favorite tool of the trade so to speak are needles. Theres no true way to know just how many the good doctor has on his person only that they're the average three to five inch thin steel needles you see every day. Light enough to be thrown, and durable enough to parry a blade these are mostly used in his Acupuncture yet Gritz is not above using them in combat. Coating these in Goofer Dust has proven to be very effective in fights.
✘ SKILLS:
- Goofer Dust; In Hoodoo this refers to generally most powders used in spells yet in Gritz's case it revolves around a special power that causes temporary blindness when blown in the eyes or painful swelling when smeared, or injected into the flesh. Blowing dust into the person's eyes opens up only a few second to minute window as blindness typically does not last vary long. It could help in escaping though.. His favored method of using this dust is to coat it on his needles to puncture opponents acupuncture, or pressure points causing them to swell, and cause pain to the areas related to that point. The swelling, and related pain can be treated, or allowed to run its course which can vary between a few hours to a couple days depending on where the victom was hit, and how much dust was used. As far as treatment goes the doctor must both have belief, and knowledge of hoodoo/voodoo, or else the treatment will be unsuccessful.
- Acupuncture; A type of medical practice that revolves around puncturing certain spots on the body with needles that can ease pain, and ward off disease. In some cases it is said that strike some spots can even fight against bad luck, and curses that might have been placed on the victom. Ironically Gritz does not believe acupuncture can cure things like bad luck which is funny when considering his firm belief in hoodoo/voodoo. While Gritz may not have the grandest skill in acupuncture -at times forgetting where some points are- he can hit spots to dull a person's pain if not numb up that specific area. Hitting the right spots can even redirect the pain but as stated Gritz isnt exactly a master of Acupuncture, but mixing Goofer Dust with this more than makes up for it.
