[/size] Zelio D. Bleu was born into a family of warriors who served as the king od Illusia's personal guard. His father was the chief of the royal guard and Zelio's mother was the best soldier amongst the group. Together along with ten others they were the greatest military force in all of the lands until Zelio's mother got pregnant with Zelio. Reluctantly she ended up retiring from the group leaving Zelio's father alone with the others. As time moved on Zelio was born and the family had joined back into the royal guard. As Zelio got older he learned that it would be him who'd one day lead the royal guard of Illusia so starting at the age of six he began to train as a member of the guard, learning the necessary skills needed to operate as a member. He was taught many fighting styles, life skills, history, politics, economics, but one thing his parents hadn't known was that Zelio was learning about piracy.
The stories he'd pick up from around the castle about pirates conquering or taking over something were far too much for Zelio to handle. The boy soon fell in love with the world of piracy, but as his career was already decided for him it'd be impossible to become a pirate. At the age of ten Zelio had become a full fledged member of the guard, far surpassing any member there had ever been. At his young age he was a child prodigy, one of the likes the world had never seen before, and his skills were so great that he had even been recommended to be boosted to the ranks of top three. Taking the lives of criminals in Illusia had turned the boy's heart black and fairly little emotions still clouded his heart though one thing he knew he still loved was the world of piracy. One day Zelio felt that his skills as a guard could no longer be improved and he couldn't find help anywhere else, so secretly he decided to work alone on another skill...assasination.
Every night around midnight Zelio would sneak out of the castle draped in black with his face covered and stalked about the night, killing off any random criminals he could find. Before long reports rang out about a mysterious vigilante known as the shadow killer, but secretly it was just Zelio. The boy knew too well that none would ever find out and if they did he'd just kill them! At the age of twelve Zelio had made stalking the night as the shadow killer a nightly ritual and very few villains ever walked the streets when tnight fell. He had become so reknown that his name was even known throughout Arabasta. One night when out as the shadow killer Zelio happened to come upon a group of mysterious men in an alleyway. He proceeded upon them, and lunged on the group, but one man instantly caught and restrained him. The man took off his hood and a shocked Zelio came to find that his father and the other royal guard members were the mysterious people in the alley. The demasked Zelio and were crushed to find that he'd been using his skills for unnecessary killing. It was then that he expressed his feelings toward piracy and his father, a man deathly scared by pirates, decided that at that moment his son had died in his eyes. Feeling nothing but anger, Zelio set out from home in his journey to become a famous pirate captain.
