A few other staffers and I think we should switch Notoriety from DF, Haki and title levels to being able to use canon One Piece techniques. For example Super Human Strength and Super Human Speed, or the Rokushiki techs for CP9 and Marines, etc. Thoughts?

What would this entail for DF, Haki, and Titles though? As it stands right now, the only people truly eligible for Shichi, Yonkou, Cp-9 type deal are members of ED, and probably admins of course.

I think it would be good, it would give others the want to actually do something about it and gain more techniques. This would also include those who don't have DF's, they'd be able to defend somewhat against DF users if anything. There should also be ways for members to get notoriety and what not. I'll add more to this when I think on things more I guess.
Also, only having staff members have these things is EXTREMELY unfair. Not that I have any but its quite unfair towards the members. Why should staff be excluded from not having them? Isn't this supposed to be a fair thing. B|

The titles would be at staff discretion, obviously if someone has been role playing well and pushing a plot they would be a candidate for one of the positions, which is better than using notoriety since post whoring to 30 notoriety doesn't mean you earned the title.
As for DF and Haki, I just dont see notoriety really working to determine their power, just seems like a dumb idea, it seems better using it to buy canon things. Like 1 Notoriety to buy one of the Fishman Karate techs for Fishmen.

you have a point there but remember it seems that this notoriety is only earned seldom and people might be wondering how in the hell can I get me some so I can become more powerful and be able to beat me some people. I'm not saying don't have that but there should be ways to earn more so that when others want to buy these techs they can have some. I mean if these techs are worth x amount of notoriety then people might want to actually join things where they can earn them and buy them and upgrade themselves. These techs can even have different levels if anything so they can buy more and keep on the RP flow and what not... I think I might be going off topic. B|

Well notoriety is supposed to be given out from OTMs, Events, and posting of course I agree that it should be given out more, maybe less posts to get a single point since it wouldn't be used for titles anymore and simply techniques? Also I agree with "levels" though not actually giving techniques level but making it apparent that some would cost more than others, like some of the Rokushiki variants and more powerful karate techniques.

i say yes, we should keep it and such, but exclude it from DF and haki users, we need something different from them, maybe the studying system, shiro had given us. [/size]

true. but then it would mean that there should be more than just one event a week. currently I see no event being made or anything about making one. this would also mean that we'd have to have the OTM's frequently which I don't think it would be good really. as for levels I'd say more difficulty than anything or having the same tech but more powerful or something? don't know just throwing things out

System wise, studying system sounded the best of the proposed ideas. OTM is supposed to be once a month lolz. Also events if they come, maybe bi weekly? So every 2 weeks is a new event. Of course that means more work for the staff as a whole and are we willing to put that weight on our shoulders? I have to say we are the most active group I've seen on any site for a while.

so am I expected to make a studying system too, the one shiro has is a bit vague for what we need here, it'd need a bit of construction and work on it, however if someoen like Symple wants to be in charge of it |his systems have been fantastic lately| or I could get round to it soon, have been working on territories if you haven't been noticing, then going to travel, this could be after those two. its gonna need in depth either way.

If Shiro lets me use his study system I can make it fit here. Of course, with his permission first.
