("this blood. that runs so deep within me, so pure, so noble. sometimes, i feel that maybe i am unworthy of it. for i am unable to use it to protect the ones i love properly. this must be changed. as i ascend to kingship, i must change, correct the error of my ways and become stronger. this is my vow to you, father. let your soul rest in peace.")
the words had slowly, and calmly came from the lips of a young noble male. he had sat in a dimmed lit room, lightened by candles along the walls. the young male had sat upon a throne, in a room that had appeared to be a long narrow hallway, leading into a huge door. he was the only within the room, and probably the only one that had heard his words. rather than having a sad or depression expression upon face, he had one that symbolized he was thinking deeply about something.
indeed, he would have a lot to think about today, today would be the day that he would finally become the king. a day he had dreamed that was so far away, that he felt like he would never get the chance to become the king at all. with these thoughts in mind, a smirk had came across his face. he had thought it was amusing. he was getting something that he had always wanted, but, he didn't know if it was what he ready for.
with the late death of his father and mother, due to unknown circumstances, he had received kingship. the silent room had slowly began to be filled with a mild chuckle from the man, as he had rose up from his golden throne, with ruby red cushions upon it. the young male's long, blond hair had laid gently upon his shoulders, appearing silky and smooth. his deep blue eyes had sat upon the large doors ahead of him as he approached it. he had sported an all black suit, with a golden dress shirt underneath, while sporting the king of lvneel kingdoms robe.
it was also black and gold, black outer fur, with the inside gold, and golden diamond shape designs along the black fur. as he had walked toward the door, a slow, rising sound began to pick up. it was the sound of cheers, laughter and joy. where people really that excited for him? for him to become the king? they didn't even know what kind of king he would be, but they had cheered anyway. thinking that he would be just like his father, who was a good king.
he smirked again, chuckling as he had pushed opened the doors. light busted into the room upon entering. their was a balcony before him as he had stepped out. along with a few bodyguards that were their to protect him. they all possessed the same build, though one was a friend of his, and he couldn't specifically point them out, not just yet. as he continued to walk toward the edge of the balcony, he could see the thousands of people below, and they could see him.
and the crowd went crazy, he thought that maybe they believed that this day would never come from him either. it was a bit exciting to actually see everyone cheering for him and so happy, despite what had happened a few weeks ago. from another door that led to the balcony, the door had opened, and a short, bald head, stereotypical butler had came out. he had carried a ruby red pillow, with black threading along it.
upon the pillow, was the kings crown, the crown of the lvneel kingdoms king. one that would soon be his own crown. he looked back at the butler, smiling gently at him, with the butler returning a smile of his own to him. the young male had then turned back to the people, rising his right hand, to call forth their attention, and to silence them. once he had done that, you could hear a pen drop. all of the people had went quiet, quickly. it was out of the pure respect that the people had for him, and in return, he had a lot of respect for them. his lips had curled up into a smile, before he would begin to speak.
("you all here before me today. you will witness probably the greatest moment in my entire life. i am truly honored that you all will be hear with me today for this ceremony. you, my people, are the ones who have given me the strength to continue on after my lost. you make me proud, so in return, as your future king, i will always be there to support you and provide for you as best i can. i might not be as great as my father, but, i will try to live up to his example. he was a great man, and my mother was a great woman. i plan to keep their ideals for the lvneel kingdom in place, since each of them were a marine and pirate respectively, both marines and pirates may come here as often as they want. though, here, i ask that you respect my land and people. the marines here will not pursuit pirates, no matter what previous crimes that may have commit before coming here. and pirates are expected to have a model behavior, and not going around causing mischief as you please. i want the kingdom to be neutral, and i also want it to be fair. do not disrespect any of our laws or people, or you will be dealt with, personally... so, without further ado, let's get the ceremony on the road!")
after his speech, he had brought his hand down, and the crowds roared, cheering happily for the new king, and the laws that he had wanted to establish. it was basically the same thing as before, and the people had felt good about it. with the former king, the people didn't have any real problems, he made it so that everyone within the kingdom could just enjoy themselves, and the young male had just wanted to do the same himself.
as he had stood upon the balcony, the butler had made his way to him, though he couldn't reach the young males had naturally, with him being taller than average. the butlers shoes had grew from their soles, extending up high, making him tall enough to be able to place the crown upon his head, making him officially the king of the lvneel kingdom. the crowd went crazy again, cheering as they all began throwing roses within the air, and up toward him. he was loved by the people, and so was his entire family. he had wanted to do go for his people, no matter what he would have to do to make that wish come true.

Roaring crowds, voiced by thousands of subjects below the oh so high balcony. Dmitri scanning the crowed and roof tops with his eyes. Making sure nothing threatening happens while the prince becomes king. This coronation is meant to be a peaceful one not a early death from a sniper. A sniper that shall have his or her organs ripped out of there stomach for there mistake. For killing the king kills yourself. Because the instant that gun fire goes off is the moment Dmitri appears behind the killer gutting him or her. Dmitri will never allow that to happen. This is why he's keeping an eagle eye on the crowd and the surroundings. So he wouldn't lose his lord and half to brutally murder someone. The crowd cheered as the young man who would be king has finally graced the kingdom with his presence. Dmitri of course didn't move an inch. He kept his eyes open for any foes. He will not remove his gaze from what is important. The death of any bastard who has the balls to attack the king.
The king to be raises his hand. An so the crowd silenced like death came soon to the people of the kingdom. Dmitri rested his hand on the hilt of his katana. The speech rolled along smoothly. Not a single interruption so far. Just as planned the prince shall become king. Dmitri glared down at the butler as he arrived with the crown. Even a butler could be a assassin in disguise. The fool of course is close enough to have his head lopped off if he so tries anything. The other bodyguards keeping there eyes on the crowd. The small butler lifted the crown off the red pillow. Standing on his tip toes to place on the tall Alexei. The crowd roared and cheered as the prince has become King. Finally this stressful day was ending and hopefully the king will retreat back into his home. Dmitri hoped for this so very much.
note: sorry if this post is crappy.

A king. Yet another person who thought they were better than everyone else. She understood that laws were necessary and someone had to set them. True freedom was anarchy, but some laws were stupid. Still she had to admire the ruling of neutrality. Pirates wouldn't cause mayhem and marines wouldn't try to capture pirates. Those who disobeyed would be captured by the kingdom's own law enforcement. Well, that was the theory anyway. If they tried to arrest her she'd fight her way out. She had come to see this new king. She had respected the old king's ways. He was a good leader. Like all people he'd made some mistakes, but he had not pretended he hadn't made them or they were some sort of divine intervention. Yes, a truly good man. The new king was starting off well and the people seemed to like him. Though she had a feeling the women were mostly cheering because Alexei was to be honest, very attractive.
"Well, it was certainly an interesting ceremony. Simple, but interesting." she said to herself. She was one of the few people not cheering. She noted that the man had plenty of bodyguards all of whom looked pretty tough. She wondered if the king could fight himself. She was near the front of the crowd and walked over to a guard. "Hey could you pass a message to the king for me." She handed him a few coins as persuasion and the guard nodded and looked at her as if to say 'get on with it then'. "I'm a cook and i've always wanted to cook for a king. I'm pretty good. Ask him if he'd let me? I'll even eat a bit of all of it myself to prove it isn't poisoned or anything. I'll wait here for a response" The man stared at her for a moment then walked off to deliver the message. She wondered what the response would be. It was sort of a lie. It wasn't that she wanted to cook for a king. She wanted to cook in a royal kitchen to see if it was special in any way. ALso, she would likely find some ingredients and recipes in there.

The crowd was going insane of the mark of the new king, possibly marking a new age for the north blue. Of course, all this meant complete shit for Calico, as he really didn't give a damn. The only reason why he was here, is to get a decent estimate of the guards protecting the king. So far, he couldn't pinpoint if there were any in the crowd but he was sure there were bodyguards and marines protecting this asshole. Running his covered fingers through his crystal white hair, he smirked. It was time that Calico received a closer look of his next victim, the new king. Dressed in his red leather jacket, he made his way through the crowd but not without causing some trouble. Being very skilled, he was able to pick pocketed some people's wallets. Calico came to a slow pause, and looked up at the lovely sun causing a frown. Removing the beri out of the wallets, he threw the empty wallets on the ground.
While counting the cash, he happen to run into someone he knew quiet well. To be correct, it was one of the two people who helped him still the current ship he owns. Pulling out his favorite dagger, he tapped the young lady's shoulder. "Couldn't resist as well?" He quested the woman, placing his knife back in it's case. Calico scanned the guard as he walked away. The Reaper was disappointed to know that the guard seemed rather weak but then again, looks can be deceiving. "So eager to meet the king, aren't we? What do you have planned?" His eyes continued to wonder around, not pleased being in an unfamiliar place such as this one.

"Tch... this is a fucking pain..."
A cigarette in my mouth as I pressed my arms across my body an eyebrow raised as I now had to watch some bastard who I didn't even know? Some type of "King", a spoiled brat who got spoon fed and wiped by other people just to be primed for "royalty", it makes me gag to actually have to be on such guard duties, I say if you can't fight then why be king, a king is someone who should have the ability to fend for their own selves, god knows I didn't want to protect a bastard I didn't know.
I stood watching the entire thing from afar looking at the crowds of people from a high pillar that I climbed in order to get a better view. The smoke moving from left to right flowing as I sighed softly, blowing the smoke from my mouth. I began to hear him finally speak after waiting for the last forty minutes on some bullshit speech. Flicking away the cigarette I got comfortable as I listened to his speed, my eyebrows lowered as I did.
"Is he a jackass, what is he thinking... marines don't pursue pirates, you think I'm gonna listen to a piece of shit vow like that, tch."
I was angered more by his speech then anything, as if he ruled over the marines, as if he ruled over anything more than this land. He was nothing more than a man, like anyone else he could die from a bullet, like anyone else he was able to perish in explosions and death. Like anyone else of our race, he was only human.
As the crowds roared I said nothing, my eyes closed as I pressed both my arms back into my chest. I would only watch as he began to leave into his castle. I took my eyes towards the crowds of people cheering, smirking.
"What a weak country..."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
the young male was king-ed, it was as if he had strategically played a game of chess with someone, beating them in every move that they had tried to make. earning him his current "checkmate" into kingship, from now on, he shall be known throughout the world as a king. and, he was destined to be a magnificent one at that. he couldn't help but look down at all of the people that were loyal to him and be happy that they were still here with him after all of these years. he could think back to his youngest time of being a child, when he would stand with his families in front of people, so nervous and afraid.
to think that he was ever like that was funny to him, and it was a long time ago, it even made him think how much he will have changed once he had grown old after all of the years. he had planned to allow everyone there in the crowd help him join in his celebration of becoming a king by inviting them to his grand feast, one that will be one of the biggest feast in the north blue's history. still smiling brightly down at them, though now he would take a chance to thank his bodyguards. he turned toward each said, bowing and thanking them.
("thank you guys for your service over the many years you have been here with me. i can't help but thank you enough, i feel that i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys. especially you, dmitri. you have been my friend for over the course of many years, and have always looked out for me. with my new kingship that you helped me achieve, i will see that great things are bestowed upon you.")
he looked over at dmitri, smiling gently at him. he was one of his childhood friends, one that he had ever since he was a little young-ling. it was nice to see him doing well and at his side, despite the fact that he has been seeing him constantly every day for the last thirteen years. along with a few of the other bodyguards that he had around him for many years. down below by the castle gates, a young woman had tried to give the guard a letter, one about her being able to cook for the king. as he had taken it into his hand, reading it.
he had arched an eyebrow, thinking that it was kind of strange that someone had wanted to go out and cook for him. especially with today being the day that he would become king, and that he already had top chefs in the world that prepared his food. before he could even respond to the woman, another male had came up beside her, and apparently they had known each other. they must not have been from around there, especially the girl.
if the king had wanted someone to cook for him, he would have gone out into the other towns in the blue, and gotten some local food. something that he would do often, to support the north blue. he was a generous king after all. but, the guard didn't know if he should tell the girl that, she might have indeed been one that the king might be weary of.
("umm, sure miss. i will see that the king does get this message.")
he had said to her with a cheerful smile and nodded his head. but, for now, he had to do his job and stand tall. protecting the castle and the king was his current job, and probably the only job he does have. and, like most people, he wanted to be successful at his job, so he could not immediately move for the sake of common people. to drop his duty of overall protecting the king. the young male, who had recently been appointed kingship turned back to his people, after thanking and talking to everyone upon the balcony with him. this time, he would raise both his hands up, drawing the attention, and respect of the crowd who had grown quiet again, just from his hand gestures.
("alright guys, you know that i'm not much of a formal speaker, and lacking the skills for doing announcements. but, i know the short ceremony is short, and is now coming to an end, i would like to invite you all to large party we're having to celebrate the occasion. one of the largest feast we will have ever had in the north blue, since my father has been elected king. behind the castle, in the large garden house, their will be a gourmet meal waiting for it'll be all you can eat, too! so my people, i want you to enjoy yourselves, the food, and my hospitality, if you can put up with it.")
he joking said as he had began laughing. he finished by saying that everyone should relocate there. he had turned his back, and made his way toward the castle, going into one of the other doors that had lead out to the balcony. the king's crown had shined brightly within the sunlight, glistening bright, and so did the golden diamond shape patterns upon his royal cape. flickering in the light as he had made his way into the castle to head toward the back of the castle, where the celebration would begin.

It seemed the guard was going to wait till he was off duty to give the message. Irritating to say the least, but she couldn't blame him. He was doing his job. She turned to her Captain, Calico, and responded to his question. He seemed to think she was here to hurt the king or do something else that required planning of sorts.
"Just to cook for the King and see if he has any interesting ingredients and recipes in his kitchen." she replied with a grin. It was the truth. Of course, she might do something once she'd settled her urge to cook for a bit, but until then she was just there to cook. She listened carefully to the announcement. So there was to be a feast. That would be interesting. She wondered how good these chefs were. Perhaps that was another reason why the guard had not given her message because the meals had been cooked for the day. That was quite annoying. Oh well, free food was good. Plus she had good sense of taste so she should be able to work out a rough version of the recipes to the meals.
Perhaps she'd find something to add to her 'Ultimate' recipe book. In that book only went the most delicious of meals. Some were simple, others complex. There were very few in the book. One being salmon strips soaked in a special soy sauce she had come up. Though that was only good if served with certain varieties of sake that was heated to the right temperature.
That was only one thought going through her mind. The others involved how many of these guards she felt she could take on and whether they'd be ok with her having her sword(s) at the banquet. She also wondered whether she should keep her cloak on as her attire was not really the sort you'd wear for a fancy banquet.
"You coming to the feast Captain?" she asked as she walked in that direction. She didn't mind either way to be honest.

The coronation was finally coming to an end. Soon they shall retreat into the castle where no one could kill off the king. It was a relief, not a singling thing went wrong. This was indeed a day for happiness and freedom. Though it didn't relax Dmitri. He stayed on edge ready for anything to dare harm the king. He almost wished for it. Like a child in a clothing store. He was very bored.
The new king turned towards the bodyguards that stood around him. They stood tall and accepted his thanks. Dmitri of course was the most popular of the bodyguards. Alexei and Dmitri are great friends. They've known each other since they were very little. And even then, Dmitri was very protective of Alexei. Finally he spoke to Dmitri about him being a great bodyguard. It was a little embarrassing."Thank you my King." He answered with such formal words. Trying not to be to friendly with him. He is the kings bodyguard. He can't just act like a friend at these times, its unprofessional. And with that thought the king left and Dmitri followed.

I didn't really care about the festivities that much, nor about the feast as well, I didn't like the king, I didn't like his country and I didn't like taking things and being someone who used peoples for my personal gain. Before I would would even go into his castle, I would be on duty and so I didn't care whether it be him, his ability to be king or dictating what type of king he was, it would be a hassle. But to be totally honest, it didn't matter.
"Spoiled rotten."
Another cigarette entered my lips, I remember when I was a teenager (technically I still am) when royalty decided to come and see the Valkyn Arena... They loved the carnage, couldn't get enough of the death and destruction of a person and didn't care whether he lived or died just wanting to gain a "show". Even dictating whether they lived or died. A total lack of respect for the arena, and a total lack of respect for anyone that deserved to be called a fighter.
No... I didn't care, I wouldn't care. He could be whoever he wished to be but he would never be my king. I placed out my lighter, puffing the cigarette slowly as I began to move on. I sighed and blew smoke through my lips.
"A pain in the ass, indeed." EXIT

"That's it? I was thinking you was gonna poison the king." Placing his head in his pocket, he could see that Catherine was here on good intention compared to him. Calico was here to commit a series crimes that would please his current hunger for blood lust. The king announced that he was moving this party to his palace and would have a large feast. This of course would present Calico with an small window to complete his transaction. With the crowd starting to move, Calico did the same. Nodding towards Catherine, he followed her toward the palace.
