Lilith Dufrain was not your average teenage girl. Frantically her lithe body moved as she towered over the crowd - being an unsightly five foot, eleven inches. Obsidian locks moved through the wind, quickly flickered out of her line of sight. She didn't bother to utter a small "excuse me!" as she pushed and hurried by everyone in Arabasta. The arid weather in the island influenced her attire; white dress that flowed angelically at her knees. She had made it to the center of Arabasta, the island "square" in a sense, because it was the busiest of all places in the island. Pirates and civilians chattered alike, their voices swarming the area like invading locusts. She stood on top of a fountain in the town, and Lilith took a few seconds to catch her balance, before her brown eyes glanced at the rest of the town. A few stray eyes glimpsed at her, but the rest ignored her. Her face was stoic, mouth blank, but her eyes were filled with worry.
"Everyone! Listen to me, please!
" she cried and whilst her voice quivered as she spoke, her voice was powerful enough to wash over the town. Mumbles and whispers came to a halt, insouciant eyes stopping at her figure. When she believed it was okay to talk again (her instinct told her so), Lilith began to speak again. " People of Arabata, my name is Lilith Dufrain. You may not have known me, but you may have known my grandmother - Elisabetta Diamindis - a seer who was born on this island. As her granddaughter, I have inherited her wisdom and ability to scry, and I have to warn you." spoke Lilith. A few snorts from the crowd, a few nods of the head as a response from the crowd. Elisabetta Diamindis claimed to be able to see the future; in her youth, she was a navigator for a crew, and used her scrying to predict the arrival of marines and other crews. She disappeared after giving birth to her son, and hasn't been seen since a battle on Arabata Isle. " Arabata Isle, do you know the tale of Sonata? The indestructible weapon that sank to the bottom of all seas? Now she truly had the attention of everyone. The legend of the Sonata was considered an old fisherman's tale, something he told gleeful sons who yearned to be a pirate with their own crew. The relic that was the Sonata was thought to bring glory and honor to whomever could harnesses it. Created by an inventor who died the next day. A battle broke out between his sons and during that battle, the staff sank to the bottom of the sea, never to be seen again. Lilith, seeing the nods and hearing the responses from the crowd, spoke again. " I have received visions that someone will discover the Sonata; if that were to happen, all hope would be lost, for the sheer magnitude that is inside the staff is too powerful for anyone to harness - or control." Her tone was losing its power, and her face was contorted with worry. The seer ran slim digits through her tresses and took a deep breath, as she seemed to be extremely emotional over this - and it was taking its toll. To her utter dismay, laughter erupted in the crowd. The adolescent stood flabbergasted, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. Porcelain teeth nibbled at her protruding bottom lip, and her body went through miniature paroxysms as she dared not to cry. " Do we look stupid, Dufrain? We all know your family is nothing but charlatan trash - and frankly, none of us believe any of this seer bullshit! Sonata was nothing but a legend; it ain't real!" Lilith was quiet. Her mouth opened multiple times, but when she attempted to speak, nothing but air came out; hoarse. She felt so pathetic, so useless, so irresponsible - what would her grandmother say? " I-I'm speaking nothing but the truth, I swear.." was her reply, eyes weepy and her voice losing strength. The crowd cackled once again, jeering at her. She could only play with the hemming at her dress, breathing softly and waiting patiently until she had the strength to keep talking. OOC Notes: Alright. This will start up BNB's new plot - the lost sonata, which has been advertised via our banner, as you've hopefully noticed. Interact with Lilith. Ask her questions about it, so that everything is revealed to you guys ICly - because that'll make the plot go faster. No need to RP with each other; to keep this thread quick, please don't. This is mainly where everyone responds that, ICly, they've learned of what Lilith has been saying - and of what information/rumors are spreading around.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Hancock was perched high on a building with some chicken raman that he made himself, he was listening intently to what this Lilith was saying. He had heard of the fairytale or whatever she called it before, but he needed information and mainly, he just wanted something to do.
"Do we look stupid, Dufrain? We all know your family is nothing but charlatan trash - and frankly, none of us believe any of this seer bullshit! Sonata was nothing but a legend; it ain't real!"
As the crowd erupted in laughter, the cook looked up midway with raman hanging from his mouth. The crowd was denying the existence of the weapon, he believed it though, “HEY!” he yelled slurping up the raman. Everyone looked toward him, but he looked at the girl “Tell me more about this weapon, sounds intriguing” he said with a sly smirk before eating again. He looked at the crowd again and he knew that they would think twice before saying or laughing again, he had that effect on people. Popularity, such a pain the Pirate life gave.

Delicate fingers tapped absentmindedly upon the table before the white haired man. Looking resplendent in his black waistcoat, shirt, trousers and shoes the outfit was completed by a simple white tie. Elegance didn't have to be complicated, some things never got old. Black and white being such. With a glass of fine red wine in his hand, he had set himself down in a comfortable seat whilst his crew were busy around the island doing whatever they wished during their downtime. Eli would be in some bar or whorehouse, Hancock would be eating or buying food, Rosen probably arguing with some locals over absolutely nothing and Bob? Well, the Chessmaster tried not to imagine just where and what his Navigator was doing at any point of his day. Especially when the fishman was out of sight.
Hearing the call reach out over the square, even above the dull noise that had permeated it like the busy town center this place was, Nikon Fausto brought his head around and chanced upon a clear vision of the speak atop the fountain. Raising an eyebrow at her words, he surpressed a smile as his brash cook admonished the naysayer in the crowd before asking to hear more. Truly not a bad thing, Nikon himself wanted to hear more. After all, knowledge was power...No matter what the source, those of a strong enough will could weed out the chaff and find the good information no matter how deeply it was buried. Thoughts of the fabled superweapon ran through his mind as the smile across his face widened as he quietly spoke to himself in his chair at the edge of the square.
"How...Interesting..."

It featured a long hood which served to shadow the eyes, sparsely revealing thin lips. Either side of the hood looked like snake eyes. The attire itself was a body suit that was slightly loose to allow airflow. Addorning the feet were simple black sandals and a satchel to carry equipment.
When the teenage beauty took center "stage", she began to snake through the crowd in order to get closer. She beckoned for everyone to listen and this snake was certainly here to do just that. "Convenient, I had been looking to learn about this legendary weapon and I find just the person I need to talk with." Artemis grinned and paid very close attention to the words of Lilith Dufrain. She proclaimed someone would discover the Sonata and of course, that someone was going to ber Ms. Edwards.
The Marines weren't exactly interested in this little venture. Even people on Arabata dismissed the thing as folklore from an ol Fisherman. However, it warranted some investigation or so she pleaded. Truthfully, the young Snake just had an agenda. Being a former Pirate, stories like this always intrigued her. Besides she could use power like this, definitely.
"Only a fool would ignore the words of a Seer." her body seemed to coil and sway as she now slithered over to Lilith. She wrapped her left arm around the girl's waist and pulled her close in order to inquire further:
"Please tell me more Miss Dufrain, tell me about who you saw discovering the Sonata, as well as the power this weapon posseses." if her tongue could flicker, Lilith would definitely have seen it, alas there was nothing but she wouldn't see the "eyes" of this woman all the same.
"Also, indulge me about the full tale of the Sonata from the beginning and where abouts you saw it discovered. Preferably if you have the skill to draw out your vision, then do so on this notebook." she'd withdraw it from the satchel along with a pencil.
Of course she dared not let go of the teenager until she had everything she wanted.

Gliding agilely across the streets of Arabasta, emerald shaded eyes peeking around corners, dulled by boredom and frustration, as progressive crowds swarmed the streets the low hum of conversations infecting the air. None of which impressed this musing child, as he sorted through the crowds in a neat fashion, a bemused expression coating his pale face. The summer sun ablaze in the sky above him, lighting the way to the city plaza. Where people filtered out into their own paths, and with no path of personal use to chase, the brooding pirate allowed himself to be carried away with the crowds.
There was nothing quite eye catching in this city, no big shots that is, so moving about aimlessly seemed the only choice of action. But this was only a fleeting thought, as the bantering of voices died down, a new option was made available. As a tall frigid woman, set in a white gown, squandered to make words before the crowd. Heavy breathes, face deep red, what news was this? As the woman continued on with a strong voice, the town seemed to be cast under a spell of silence, if only so long. It was expected, the ridicule, even Archie was working at it, yeah right, it was stupid to believe one would believe such a far fetched tail so easily.
But even so, his mind was somehow lured by the idea of such a treasure, great pirates would surely gather if this was fact. SO following his own foolish notions, he observed the woman as well, in a quite natural form, arms slacked, hands resting in his pockets as he peered at her through the corners of his eyes. He would see how far this first man would go before he dismissed himself.

Dominic nibbled on an assortment of fish sticks lightly as he toured the vast city Arabasta, such a beautiful town bread within the confides of such a bland wasteland, the only thing to appreciate outside this kingdom's walls would be the ruins so skillfully preserved over time. But becoming an archeologist was not one of his fancies, he was far too whimsical for such a duty. His forte was in other fields, to say the least. As he scoured the town amusement, by chance, he stumbled upon the town's square, were nothing ever happened to be frank, beyond a massacre, very little topics of interest could occur here, crowded spots were a killjoy.
Though today became an exception, as he rested upon a metal railing, a voice erupted into the sea of people. That was more than enough to peak Dominic's interests, today being so uneventful and such. This "seer" as it seemed, foresaw the return of a weapon of mass destruction, how splendid. Many people dismissed this woman's words, some giving into laughter, but he only leaned further in. While they called this foolish and childish, Dominic saw this as an opportune chance to have fun, as outlandish as the tale was, he could only question why not to give it a shot? Hunkered over the edge of the railing he kept silent, watching the one man dart out of the crowd to the woman, posing a question of his own. Someone other than himself was interested.
So he wasn't the only dreamer here. A good challenge at the least, he didn't bother to let his presence be know, sitting idly by as he tended to do, he eaves dropped on their conversation.

I'll take it all You'll be left with nothing He was just a hooded stranger among the crowd, his clothes made of anonymity and his visage a hidden mask. To everyone around him anything but up close recognition would render him simply part of the average and normal census. The hoodie he was wearing was of a solid blue hue, one that matched a darker toned sky. Its soft woven yet thick material gently creased against his skin, the cotton and accessory materials trapped in his personal heat and hugged him and was loose on him in the places that were appropriate to provide comfort and sensibillity. Chocolate locks dripped out from under his hood, casting shadows across his cloaked face, they danced with each breath moving back and forth across his eyes' vision. Flecks of dark brown impeded his amber gem eyes, seemingly flawless in every facet, each clear cut from priceless material. His hands gloved in the most sensible of gloves, thin enough to not inhibit dexterity yet with good grip and slight protection. An ivory nose poking out of his hood he listened to the speech, then he listened to the various questions proposed by the audience. Half were skeptical and beyond that cynical but the other half seemed interested and even curious.
He raised his hand as he saw a sinuous pseudo snake of a woman silently solely slither towards the girl who was preaching with the assumption or fact that she was a seer of accurate nature. Why, why would you tell us, who you have never met, nor know nothing of our goals if they are evil or good of a weapon that sounds as if it could cause great tragedies? It seemed that Lilith was slowly losing faith in the people of Arabasta - her chocolate eyes were slowly losing their succulent shine and her porcelain face was becoming more and more stoic with every second that ticked by. Eyes locked on her slim legs, she seemed to slip in and out of reality, until she heard a masculine voice from the crowd. "HEY! Tell me more about this weapon, sounds intriguing." Lilith's eyes lit up like fireflies on a summer night. A small smile appeared on thin lips and she seemed to regain some confidence, albeit briefly. "The Sonata is an old staff that relies on certain objects to draw its power from. An inventor had created it in his old age, but he mysteriously died the next day. Chaos aroused around who deserved the Sonata between his two sons, and midst battle, the Sonata sank to the bottom of the ocean. Many people tried to hunt for it, but it hasn't been seen since - until I saw it in my dream, being found by a stranger.
" she said confidently, gritting her teeth to ignore the leery people in the crowd who gave snorts of contempt. There were a few people who seemed extremely interested in what she was saying - whether it was because they truly believed in the Sonata, or that they had heard the legend. A legend whispered into the ears of children as they slumbered, a legend that they wore on their sleeves, a legend that they wanted to make reality. Was it all but a legend? The femme was quite sure she had saw a few others enter the crowd, and she was starting to feel better - because she needed to pass on the word, regardless if they believed her. So long as a handful of people believed, things would be okay; or at least she thought. Lilith was patiently waiting for someone to speak up again, when thin hands wrapped around her petite waist - a sharp "Oh!" escaping her lips in an all too feminine squeal, to her dismay. "Only a fool would ignore the words of a seer." The voice was daresay, terribly serpent. Like an asp, the s seemed to drag on slowly and surely, chills rippling up and down the teenager's spine. The questions spilled out from the stranger (who was surprisingly donned in all black, gaining looks from strangers - considering Arabasta was a desert) rapidly, and she blinked a few times to make sure she answered correctly. " I didn't see a face in my vision. It was simply a glimpse of hands picking it up from a shore - nothing else.," said Lilith. " The Sonata doesn't just have one simple power, however; that's why it's so astounding. While I am not completely sure of where it draws its power from, it manipulates objects - they resemble seashells, almost - and gains power from there." She stopped and took a breath, flicking stray hairs out of her line of sight. As the stranger continued to pester on with more questions, Lilith struggled to relinquish herself from their grasp; only to fail miserably. She figured it would simply be best to answer the questions and to stay calm. " Well, yes, as I said. The Sonata was invented over... 1,000 years ago. The inventor was an older man who was inspired by the various treasures he had seen on islands in the Grand Line. A smart man, he invented the Sonata - a process that took him over ten years. The very next day after he had finished, he died; and during this time, they obviously didn't have doctors to perform an autopsy, so his cause of death remains unknown. He was found floating in the ocean the next day - some people suggest suicide because the day he finished it was the anniversary of his wife's disappearance. Other people say it was murder. Regardless, his two sons had stumbled across the notes left behind by their father. One a marine and one a pirate, they realized that Sonata would let them achieve the glory and the fame they wanted. They fought each other over it, but in the end, the Sonata fell into the ocean and wasn't found again. Each son was exiled from Arabasta." She exhaled coolly, giving the crowd glances, before continuing. " In my vision, I remember seeing the sand - it was found here, in Arabasta, which is why I'm extremely concerned and worried for everyone here." added Lilith, before taking the pencil and the sketchpad. Awkwardly she sketched what she saw considering she was being squeezed - thankfully, she had a penchant for art. The drawing consisted of a long staff floating on top of the water, right at the beach shore - and hands motioning to pick it up. As the stranger seemed to have no more questions, the girl politely removed herself from their crutches; adjusting her crisp dress and facing the crowd once more, chocolate orbs catching the gaze of others. Then another voice piped up; a hand to follow she observed, considering how tall she was. "Why, why would you tell us, who you have never met, nor know nothing of our goals if they are evil or good of a weapon that sounds as if it could cause great tragedies?" The voice was slightly deep, extremely masculine in sound. " I apologize if you take offense, that wasn't my intentions. Seers do not see the personalities of people, because they are far too intricate - often, we never see the faces of people in our visions because of this fact. I'm not saying that a bad person will find the Sonata and I'm not saying a good person will find it either. The Sonata is a personality on its own; the sheer power of it calls people to it, often people who are lusting after recognition and fame of their own. From there, that's how it manipulates people into doing bad things. The inventor's sons, despite one being a pirate and the other a marine had always gotten along. The power of the Sonata is what caused them to feud, because it began to cloud their head." was her response, and she stood back up on the fountain edge, glancing at the man sternly. " I'm not worried about just whom finds the Sonata, but how the Sonata will react and control them - hence why I'm here to warn everyone." concluded Lilith, and she waited patiently until someone else dared to question the seer once more.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Makovi sat patiently awaiting the girl to finish and the people to finish; they were bombarding her with questions, having little to no respect for her. Humans, the lot of them bastards were selfish, greedy, and most certainly loyal to nothing but their own foolish desires. The dark green man, ebony orbs fixated upon her, stroked his rough chin momentarily. He was in the back, watching the people perplex themselves at their own mingled thoughts of the words she brought before him.
When Brand spoke, Makovi made no motion. His point was true, but being a father....a past father, himself, he couldn't help but feel the twitch of anger in his brow. She was a child, human or fishman or cyborg made no difference. If humans could not care for their own like a fishman could, how could they advance in life? It was a strange thought, nevertheless he felt there was an inevitable truth behind it. Becoming greater, expanding, was impossible if nothing but savagery could be found in the hearts of the people.
What if it was simply fear, in the mans tone? No, it wasn't. It seemed more like a sarcastic appeal to his nature of cold halfheartedness. His eyes were still watching the girl, and she finished her answers, apologizing to Brand almost, being sympathetic to a ruthless pirate. Were this girl not here, he would....he wouldn't capture the bounty. No, he wouldn't face off against an opponent of unknown power. Above all else, he knew this pirate had a brain, and he couldn't say the same for the others.
"Give the seer space." He spoke, his voice rough and strikingly powerful behind his eyes of pure darkness. "She's young, courageous but young. Show compassion." Moving up closer to Brand, he gave a slight head nod to the pirate. "He is right; go around spreading this information to the wrong people, and you could find yourself in a rough situation."

After he said those words he looked down at the crowds, there seemed to be quite a few people gathered, he recognized some pirates and even his own captain, he nodded toward his direction that directed his attention toward the skinny legs. He wanted more answers as well, but he kept his mouth shut and just finished eating his raman. Wiping the noodles off of his mouth he threw the bowl behind him and got out a bottle of beer, drinking some of it Hancock looked fiercely at the girl. There was just something different about her.
“I have another question” he said out enough for earshot to the crowds below, “what did the mission look like, if you supposedly saw it in a vision” he said with a smirk appearing from his mouth. He drank down some more beer and looked down at everyone staring at him; he poured some beer down on the crowd much to the dismay of the crowd and laughed.
This thing or whatever it was seemed very different to what he thought was a weapon, sounded like some internal intelligence or something. Maybe it was One Piece or at least a part of One Piece, oooh man, Nikon would be chuckling at this.

” Rain crimson in the darkness”
As this child continued to warn the men and women in the crowd this pirate delicately made his way through the crowd drawing closer to her, his ears were open and the information she was spilling was truly special, but by the way she spoke of this weapon… It had nothing to do with his occupation.
“I hate this place, I really do.”
Like a phantom in plain sight a white robe covered this man from head to toe, his feet bandaged neatly and protected by shoes fit to survive in this place, unlike a phantom he was more like a mummy wearing the same bandages on his hands and up to his face. The whole situation was just to crazy to Hei-bai he always knew humans could be cold, but to such a young child it was interesting not so much the weapon, but how they reacted. The pirates seemed to gather like moths to a flame to the words of the young girl who claimed to be a seer, she even had her hand-dandy notebook with her. Finally Hei-bai seemed to make his way closer to the crowd his eyes focused in on the fountain that the young girl stood in front of.. With everyone’s questions she’d surely be there all day. “ Are you sure that is all you saw in your dream? “ Hei asked quite confidently after the other strangers question. “Was the strangers hands scarred any? Was there any sign of a struggle?” He added to his question finally taking a interest? No he just wanted her to spill all she had and get away from the water. [/blockquote]

Javier listened intently to the small girl. This so called Lost Sonata was unique in the fact that it was something that seemed to grant power, and Javier wanted it. He could be considered petty, and while he'd not touch the girl at her age, he had a feeling in a few years she would be quite the looker.
"The Lost Sonata...." He muttered, taking a deep breath of smoke from the cigarette in his mouth. "If we find it, what we gonna do with it?" His speech wasn't the most interesting and he wasn't the most lingual individual. Javier was just....himself.

The femme twirled obsidian tresses on a slim index finger innocently, as she tentatively listened to the other questions and comments. Part of being a seer meant that she had to be patient and dedicated to giving everyone everything that she knew; she could only hope that they would take her advice or at least acknowledge it. At the sound of someone else raising their voice, her eyes lit up and she focused on them. "A vision - not a dream, sir. But, yes. That was all I saw in the vision and I drew it for someone earlier, so I can recall it with ease.
" she spoke with an air of calmness, yet her voice was riddled with confidence and assurance. She seemed to be more confident as more people expressed some degree of trust within the seer. Lilith spoke again, as the same man spoke the another question. " No scars, no. No sort of struggle, since he - or she, perhaps - had found it, nothing else." A brief, quick response. The acrid smell of nicotine and ashes lingered in the air, wafting over people. Lily had wrinkled her nose and frowned slightly; she was no fan of smoking, but she did remember that she was in a town that harbored masses of pirates. She glanced up to find the offender and her acute hearing helped her hear a brief section of what he was saying. " If you find it, you get rid of it.. quickly. But it will take a very strong willed person to do it." was her response, briefly locking eye contact with the smoker. Seeing that no one else had stepped up or commented, she would conclude her message. " Please, everyone.. just heed my message. The Sonata will return and if someone attempts to harness it, we won't have a good chance of survival." Grim words spilling out the lips of a saccharine mouth. Just as quickly as she arrived, the adolescent was gone within a flash, leaving a town of people simply staring and taking in what they had witnessed. OOC Notes: Sorry this took so long to wrap up. $1,500 berries to everyone who participated. Locked.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
