To think you would have survived this long on Thriller Bark. However you have only just began this nightmare. Screams of defenseless being killed by hordes of undead can be heard beyond baracades and searing flames. The cieling light swaying back and forth, showing the three faces of the other survivours. With the weapons you had before you blacked out and arrived here, its time you get the hell off this boat. With the door locked, your adventure begins once you open it. Your goal is to survive until help arrives, a distress signal being triggered once you leave the room. Beware, there is more then just the drooling hordes thirsting for brains, rumors of zombies capable of leaping across the ship, ones as large as small vessels, even some that can hit as hard as a canon ball. It's best you work together despite your faction, for if your partners dont get you, THEY will.
location: crows nest of thriller bark (highest point)
goal: head to lowest level of thriller bark and find the escape submarine.

Atop the crow's nest of the mighty ship/island Thriller Bark. That was where Catherine West sat casually her sword resting between her legs, one arm resting just above the hilt. Her grey cloak was as usual covering most of her body. Why was she here? She truly had no idea. She'd blacked out and arrived on the island. Zombies ran amok. Why had she come up to the crow's nest?
"Had to get out of their range somehow." she said to herself. "At least till I caught my breath." She rose slowly to her feet and sheathed the sword on her back. It was rare the sword was ever drawn, except for comfort reasons. However, she'd used it today. She'd fought her way up here with it. Zombies wouldn't die from a punch unless you hit them just right. Decapitation was the easiest way. She looked at the door. She couldn't wait here indefinitely. She glanced at the others. Perhaps one of them knew a way off the ship.
"Well then, anyone know a way off this hell hole?" she asked casually. She honestly had no idea. She'd been on thriller bark once or twice before, but not really thought of any other ways out other then a ship. She hoped one of them knew a way. "If not I guess we'll just have to fight till we find one." That idea didn't bother her too much. She was used to fighting and was highly skilled at it. Plus before she'd blacked out she'd eaten a devil fruit, which had turned out to be the powerful gura gura no mi. She had little control of it, but in a situation like this everything was an edge.

Often, the key to any situation was how quickly one could adapt. To take weird and wonderful turns, from love to hate and fear to war in the space of seconds and still manage to keep your head was a sign you'd fare better than most wherever you might find yourself. Eli was one such person who fancied himself situated fairly high on the evolutionary scale and thus, one who could face the terrors of the world head on in a moments notice. Lucky that, because that is exactly what had happened.
One minute Church was taking part in a clash of culinary splendour, waiting for his soup to come to the boil and the next mindless wretches sought to tear the flesh from his bones and consume whatever remained. After the minutes of initial shock and smashing skulls till he found safety, Eli concluded that god awful berry he ate midway through preparing the dessert must have been a fabled Devil Fruit. One that could transport him incredible distances.
The most annoying part of the whole experience, aside from hordes of zombies intent on one thing, was Eli's inability to control how he warped from place to place. Three times in a row the blasted power almost delivered him into the literal jaws of destruction but thankfully the power started to settle, leaving him atop the highest point of Thriller Bark. The fates where kind at least, he wasn't alone.
His appearance was sure to surprise her, and the others located there, but given the situation suspension of disbelief could be forgiven and he simply listened to her speak. "As you can see we're atop the Crow's Nest." an obvious observation, "There should be a spiral staircase to take us down to the main section of the mansion somewhere... Those things are probably everywhere." Taking a mental note of the firepower he could glean from a fleeting glance around the room, his hopes were fair. Then again, his new power could very well take him out of this hell as quickly as it threw him in.
"Here..." Shoving open a large, heavy wrought door Church could see the corridor leaning down into darkness. The brickwork turning sharply to the right. A possible escape for the group as likely as any other Eli thought to himself. "Coming...?" Glancing back into the room, Eli left little time to respond before plunging into the dark.

He was sure that the same questions had consumed most of their minds by now. He had been the first to wake up and had made his way up the pole that extended above the crow's nest. He stood atop it, surveying the scene below. It was complete and disgusting chaos. The ship appeared to be infested with monstrosities conjured forth from the vilest of minds. Yet Jack's face remained stolid.
He surveyed the situation, analyzing everything using both his knowledge of the Marines and the knowledge he had gained from experience. The figures below seemed without true intellectual capability. From what Jack had observed they were moving primarily on instinct, seeking a source of heat, life, something that they needed. Jack almost pitied them, saddened they had been forced into such a state. He was not a religious man but even he could tell that these beings should not be walking the earth. Let the dead remain buried and the living wait they're turn.
His eyes cast downward, a bit lower, focused on a female figure. She had fared quite well on her own this far but he was cognizant of their inevitable downfall if they did not work together. A pirate, he fared, though he couldn't seem to quite put his name on it. She seemed familiar yet her name and identity seemed to be just out his grasp.
He was about to speak when an individual sprung out of thin air, appearing before the female figure whose name he could not remember. Ah, now that was a man with distinct features. Bright orange hair. That man, too, was a pirate. Elias Church of the Storm Riders. Not a man to be taken lightly.
Jack watched as Elias attempted to take the lead, furrowing his brows as the man opened the door. He wondered whether the man was capable of intellectual thought. What unseen force could have brought a man to descend into unforeseen darkness, where the worst of nightmares possibly wait. Deciding that he had seen enough, Jack leaped up from atop the single pole, landing crouched in the crow's nest. He sighed, taking a look at the woman as she debated whether she should follow Elias. "This is definitely not the smartest path. There's no telling what waits for us within that chasm of black. Jack, smirked, standing up and taking a step towards Ragnarok, the Apocalypse. "Time to find out." With that, he too descended towards the abyss.

Admists the chaos below the ship, the pirates and marines alike must have thought they were safe above. After all they did have the protection of a devil fruit user among skilled indivuals, though it would take more then personal knowledge of the undead and skill to make it to the bottom of the ship. To first they made was opening the door early, telling his companions it was either now or never. During his haste, the young admiral leapt from his safe position. Lighting struck his spot, the flash of light revealing pairs of crimson eyes. A pair of blood hungry creatures, more adept then the rest of the zombies, the undead beasts being more lean and agile in form, capable of jumping and almost soaring through the air. With one of the survivors darting for a hallway from the crows nest, their first target was chosen, the beast howled as it jumped from the thundering heavens down at the surviour, they other choosing the one known as jack, both these beasts as black as the night. Though these undead did not strike alone, beneath the brick that once held the room safe, along with the hallway and stairs broke apart, crowds of thirty zombies blitzed the survivors from all direction.

"What the hell are you doing Elias?" Catherine demanded as the door was opened. Surely, they should of discussed an idea first? However, before she had a chance to get an answer the dumbass had run off down a hall closely followed by the marine. She was about to follow when suddenly the walls crashed down around her and she was swarmed by 15 zombies. Fifteen zombies just attacking her? Just how big was this zombie apocalypse. Oh well, she was in the mood for a fight. She quickly disconnected her two swords and took a deep breath. "Let's see how truthful those zombies tails were." With a swift motion she spun slicing off several zombies at head height. Eight fell to her spin, enough to give her an opening. She leapt back preparing herself to defend against the remaining seven. It didn't seem the zombies she'd decapitated would get up to soon. However, she wasn't certain so she'd got away from them. The zombies lurched at her. Speed wise they were quite slow, but they did have numbers on their side. Still, she had skill, speed and power on her side. She charged forward hacking and slicing and soon seven more corposes were on the floor.
The other zombies were swarming the hallway though. Getting out that way would be difficult, but the others were all that way. They stood a better chance together. She had to get to them, but that meant cutting her way through the other zombies. That would be incredibly difficult. She bit her lip. It was not going to be easy. The others looked like they were being attacked so she was alone. She took a deep breath and charged forward hacking her way through the zombies. As she began striking they began to turn their attention on her. Just like she expected. She leapt back, turning in the air, and ran back into the room where she stood at the doorway her swords at the ready. "Let's see what you guys have got."

Jack couldn't say he was surprised. This is exactly what he had warned the woman about. Going down into this corridor was not the smartest of ideas but it was definitely fun. As he had already predicted this series of events, he was the quickest to react. Realizing that he was was at a disadvantage in the narrow corridor, he quickly maneuvered in the best way possible.
Breaking the Scythe into segments, he resolved his situation by allowing himself room for combat. The Scythe, now used much like a Kusarigama, became the perfect weapon for the situation. Unlike swords and other weapons, the Kusarigama-like Scythe now had access to a virtual 360ยบ field of attack. Jack sliced the zombies that came his way, keeping his main focus on the peculiar zombie that seemed to be aiming for him.
Without knowing the capabilities of this said Zombie, Jack wasn't going to chance attacking the beast. Instead he attacked the surrounding zombies, slowly but surely retreating back towards the more open Crow's nest. Once there they'd be able to more accurately control the flow of Zombies...At least Jack hoped so. "How are you faring up back there," he called out, knowing that teamwork was the only way they were going to survive.

Eli had always hated Thriller Bark, particularly the atmosphere. Not that the overly theatrical or alternative sense of style rubbed him the wrong way. Well it did, most of the people were useless, vision-less vagabonds and now they were getting their due. However, the encompassing darkness that seemed to haunt the floating mass was far too thick. It could conceal and secret far too much and in the situation this band of survivors found themselves in, even if a fear of the dark passed from childhood, it could kill them.
Thankfully however Zombies were not the smartest of creatures and their attack was signalled by the shrill cry of war. That, and the breaking down of walls that gave them their protection and concealment. As the brickwork fell, light reflected from the moon found it's way through to illuminate the waves of flesh crazed monsters charging wildly. They were surrounded.
In his heart of hearts, Eli found a strange sense of comfort in the situation around. Though manic and with little time to act, together their purpose was clear and there was no banner to separate friend from foe, simply life from death, and as one they moved. Jack responded as soon as the night voice called was unnatural speed, gliding through the bodies that surrounded him to control to the battlefield. Catherine unleashed her swords and cut down literal waves that came for them. Making the entire situation much easier to deal with.
Church had his part to play as well and would not be carried by others however, and, as that familiar sense of mortal danger swept through him, so did clarity of thought and action. With death falling from the sky and nearly upon him Eli broke from his forward charge and spun to the left through a hole in the air and out again to the side of where the zombie would have landed. Hoping to use the seconds a decaying body and mind would need to realise where it's prey had disappeared to, Eli had brandished his trench knives and aimed to use the torque of the spin to sink the blade of his left weapon into the creatures head. Surely killing it.
Hit or miss, the pirate was not finished. Making the most of his movement, Eli also brought his free leg up and around to bury his plated foot into the side of the zombie and send it flying, leaving him with enough movement to keep himself moving and, hopefully, a difficult target to hit.

The surviour had done their best against the undead waves, Cathrine slaying the beasts with her sharp blade, Jack cleaning the corridor with his scythe and Elias with his own touch. The first of many waves had been completed, a voice echoing from every direction around the three. "you've done well to wake up and make it this far, but you wont make it off Thriller Bark." the twisted voice faded away, as new screams filled the air around them. A vicious drooling creature crawled up the ladder and looked up from the small portion the surviour were supposed to climb down. A vile grin appearing on its face as it spotted Jack, its dark pink tongue curling in its mouth before it sprung out. The beast attacking the MARINE.
Its tongue wrapping around the leg of the man, and pulling him down towards the hole. The tongue of the creature was covered in a stone like material, not easily cut or seared. An obstacle for the young boy, while the other two were greeted with a new threat. A large undead creature standing in-front of them, its foot smashing through the floor as the birds nest began to crumble apart, the level wouldst hold for much longer with this creatures weight, they had to descend now while fighting this creature and save their lil jack. The creature howled and gave chase to Elias who was close, with Cathrine next on its list to kill. firm footing would not be possible with the quaking floor, and its pieces falling through, leaving to a hundred foot + drop.

As soon as she saw the tongue of the creature tie around the leg of the marine she thrust out her hand with four fingers curled. The force of the thrust was so great that four blades of air were sent out straight at the tongue. If she could get it to let go or reduce the pressure it would be good. That was about all she could do to help the marine though because she had her own problem. She leapt back trying to get towards the trapdoor that would lead down.
"We need to get out of here." she shouted. If it had only been here up here she would of been happier. Worrying about others was a bit of a fault of hers, even if they were only temporary allies. She bit her lip before charging forward straight at the zombie and blocked the path between it and Church with the sword. Her footing was not really stable, but vibrations were her speciality so she could keep her footing a bit better then some. She could easily collapse the floor and the zombie would likely fall to its death, but so would she.
"Hey you with the orange hair. If I break the floor is there any way you can stop us from falling to our deaths?"

For Fuck's sake! What was a man to do when a damn creepy voice started talking to you! God? Hell No! This muthafucka was going down like donkey kong! The man was a damn strategic powerhouse, there was no way in hell he was going to be caught off guard like that. The creature wrapped its tongue around Jack's leg, probably the last mistake it would make.
The blonde woman tossed him a helping hand, sending a strange attack at the foul creature, just the thing Jack needed. He clutched tongue wrapped around his foot, squeezing it with his Monster strength and pulling. "Fuck that! Quickest way out of here is down! Find some cover and drop down otherwise you'll be fighting them off forever." He wasn't sure how much they had actually heard considering he had said all this while jumping atop the creature while pulling it. The floor beneath him gave way, sending him and the creature down. Fuck that, this creature just became his Carpet.

Elias may not have been the smartest cookie in the jar but he had some advantages no one else in the world could compensate for. Plus, he had an extremely useful ability granted to him by the devil of the sea. With the arrival of two new threats and an ominous, booming voice projected from the air itself, things were not as good as they could have been. Given the perilous, confusing situation. Jack had been caught by a rather impressive sized tongue, and both himself and Catherine were faced with much bigger, if not as immediately dangerous, threat.
As vibrations shook through the ground, Eli simply hopped into the air and stood seemingly on thin nothing. In actual fact the pirate had simply created a small square door his feet couldn't actually fit through and was left propped up by the edges of the opening as real and solid as any other material. Free from the nuisance of footing, he watched how the female pirate launched a bizarre attack at the first creatures tongue before creating a barrier between him and the second creature seemingly intent on killing him.
The distraction she created would have been exactly the the event Eli hoped for and as the beast would no doubt be startled by the woman's sudden appearance, but even if it wasn't, Church acted. Bringing both arms down as though intending to crush the ground beneath his feet, Eli summoned a door into existence that would cause his arms to move and arc down almost directly in front of the monster's face as it raced forward. Eli intended to bury both trench blades into the bigger, meaner creature's eye sockets. All in the space of a second or two.
In answer to the female's question, Eli waited to see the results of his labour by shouting a plain and simply, and short, "Yes!"
