PARAMECIA

Paramecia is considered and is as well the most common occurring type of devil's fruit exceeding Zoan and Logia types in numbers by several factors. Paramecia in short can be lumped into simple categories. The first of these categories is self manipulation, or the changing of a physical quality or capability of the user's body (IE: the Gomu Gomu fruit which makes the user's body into rubber). Along with the change the user will gain the features of the change in the example's case the user becomes rubber and resilient to physical attacks and stretchy. The second category is distinguished as control over an object or substance that is of a specific category (IE: the Sabi Sabi fruit which allows the user to rust any form of metal or the Doku Doku fruit which allows the user to make and control venom). A Paramecia in addition to being the most common devils fruit is also the most obvious of all devil fruits as one can usually discern what it can do from simply observing a single attack and as such is easily countered during a battle drawn out even to a moderate length. Paramecia however have room for high levels of variation and gives the user a sort of "superhuman" sense of capabilities.

ZOAN

Zoan are in short a fruit that allows the user to take on the shape, form, and characteristics of another species. If the user is indeed a Zoan devil fruit user they have access to three different forms. The first of the forms is the standard form of the user which holds no capabilities other than having the user become a hammer in water. The second form the hybrid form which gives the user the perks of the animal and increases the users size and strength. The final form is the fully transformed form. The Zoan fruit is the most obvious of all fruits when it is exposed as the user is of course combined with an animal, when combining the user obtains all the perks of the species (IE: dogs smelling sense or a hawk's eyes). However they also retain the cons (IE: most cats dislike water). If something of a certain species consumes the same fruit as its own species it will increase what the animal specializes in (IE: if a human ate a human fruit it would gain an extreme increase in intelligence).

LOGIA

Logia is the rarest of all fruit types and at the same time considered the strongest of the three types. Those who consume a Logia fruit are gifted with a complete and total dominance over a specific element or substance IE ice or sand. In addition the user is often seen as able to turn into that element that they so command which is often used to travel distances or to avoid blows that they otherwise cannot or do not want to dodge. The Logia user can avoid any physical attack save for those with Haki or those that counter its weakness IE rubber is able to hit electricity and water would hit fire. Because Logia commands such a specific control over one thing it is impossible to use it in different forms IE: a control over ice cannot command a control of water or steam unless they turn into ice first.

Getting A Fruit

Note: Fruits can be given out in planned events or randomly in regular roleplay threads. We do not want to see awful roleplayers getting zoan devil fruits, but we also don't want to see staff simply giving out devil fruits to their friends. Only co-admins and designated staff members (who are given permission, per say, from an event by a co-admin or admin) can give out a devil fruit. No exceptions.

1. You must be an intermediate roleplayer. This does not mean essays for posts, but it means that you attract people to read your post; not prose per say, but eloquent word choice and quality posts does matter. However, extremely talented roleplayers will find themselves with the CHANCE of being given higher-ranked fruits (logia over paramecia and zoan), with average roleplayers more likely to have a chance of getting paramecia and zoan.

2. You must be a dedicated member. This doesn't mean you're always on, but you must show that you aren't just here to reap benefits - contributing to the site and not causing problems also helps.

3. The type of fruit you get is random (basically, up to co-admin digression). However, better roleplayers will find themselves more likely to get better stuff - average or below average roleplayers will find themselves with the basic things. Not complicated.

Do not expect a devil fruit or something special whenever you post a "lengthy" post or whenever we have an event. That's not how it goes.

Complaining about not getting a fruit will not help your chances - it only worsens them. What the staff does not appreciate is when people literally start bitching about who got a fruit and why they did not - and taking it upon themselves to compare them and the other people who earned things.

It's fine to discuss devil fruit in the cbox, but they are not and never will be the purpose of the site. Do remember that they do not have to be apart of the roleplay, and we can easily take them away from any and destroy the system completely. It's our way of making the RP more interesting and fun, but misuse of the system will make it disappear.
