Haven't you noticed the flags above your head when you walk into town. Well the flag is flown with the current owner of the island or kingdom. Pirates can now capture territories on the open blues in their own name, calling the island home, letting them influence the royalty their, the shops that are offered at the island. With this true pirates can rule the sea's, though not all nations will fall to pirates, for marines can capture the cities back in the name of the people and the world government, protecting them from the pirates and people who would do them wrong. Bounty Hunter and Royalty assisting in any way these please, able to side with either side to get the profits. Below we provide details on how to capture territories, the rules for capturing and the terms of territories.
CAPTURING TERRITORY
To capture a territory you must first create a thread in a board within any of the oceans, north, west, east, and south. The thread must be properly titled with the
[capture] or
[claiming] within the threads name. This allows anyone within the ocean blue to pay attention and notice you are capturing the land and claiming it as your own. Marines, Bounty Hunters and other Pirates are able to jump in and fight you for the land, stopping you from claiming ownership and keeping it under the current ownership. This also applies for reclaiming a territory simply put
[recapture], or [
overthrow] to take back the land.
To capture a territory you must hold the location for several days without interruption or fighting. This shows you have either defeated any opponents that dared to raise against your leadership, or simply darkened the nations fear over your companies name. After the the crew, unit or force holds the island for the three day wait period the territory becomes theirs. With this being said, anyone wanting to make an interruption must do so within the first two days of capture, anyone attacking otherwise will be considered void. This gives anyone 48 hours to decide wither or not they wish to risk fighting over a territory. Look below for more rules.
If you defeat the crew, or incapacitate them the territory instantly becomes the winner's land, this will quickly settle matters if a battle goes beyond the three day limit needed to capture a location. This also allows users to capture territories quickly if the battle is won before the limit.
RULES OF CAPTURE
When attempting to capture, their must be at least one member to affiliate your cause too, you cant simply say you own a location without first making a claim thread. With this being said you need to use the methods above to take over the location in the name of your affiliation.
When attacking a territory trying to be captured or retaken, you must do so within the first forty eight hours of the threads creation. We dont want anyone waiting ten minutes till its capture then suddenly not earning it due to someone posting in their demanding a fight. If you do not, any post within the land 24 hours is considered void.
If a battle begins, you must create a posting order list, it should go either team vs team or team a then team b, so on. We will not allow anyone just to arrive to save someone or protect them, this must be coordinated and known ahead of time to show either side the odds of the battle. This prevents one crew from ganking another unfriendly crew during a capture and allows a fair fight for a location.
You may only make one capture per affiliation at a time, meaning, only one location can be captured by a crew at a time, this prevents larger groups from disbursing their members over an area an getting them all at once. You are not allowed liquid role playing with territories so you must be within the same blue to capture the location, or help comrades in the area as long as you aren't capturing.
OWNERSHIP OF TERRITORY
Owning a territory means you are able to control the flow of people through the location. Outlawing certain types of people, such as having pirates be killed on site if the land is held by marines, or vice versa. The terms of the land are up you you, in essence you create laws that control the role play within the capture land. The leading official of that crew, fleet, company must create the thread containing the laws if any.
Owning a territory with a shop allows users to give themselves discounts at the stores expense, able to discount themselves up to fifty percent of the total sales prices save the higher tier weapons and graded weapons that people may purchase. Allowing them to restock their arsenal, ships and themselves while visiting their territory. As well as any purchases made beyond from the ruling group gain profits from the sales.
