The day was like any other on the giant floating island ship known as Thriller Bark, to be honest Advocat never truly understood the logic behind creating a vessel so large even an blind idiot could hit the thing with a cannon from miles away. Then again he figured that the massive size and the fact the hull was covered over by tons of soil did help keep the vital hull safe, but still rather wasteful to be honest and insane to the extreme. Though if he was to be honest any pirate that willingly comes here to get a ship and a crew had to be a little off, and just to think he was doing that exact thing regardless of how logic said it would be best to start out in another place.
While the trip coming to this area was fairly calm when considering he arrived her on a pirate ship, oh sure a few marines attacked the vessel he had paid to ride with but the captain and the crew knew what they were doing and easily ran the 'Justice' loving fools off. No the madness really started once he got off the pirate ship and step foot upon Thriller Bark's soil, he has then been dealing with armatures who thought he was a helpless reach target to kill and steal from. Didn't take long for that to be proven incorrect when pirates started to see their friends heads explode when Advocat wasn't even aiming at them, and the slight terror of watching a stronger man stumble over after trading weapon blows with the slender gentleman.
Advocat's troubles went away more or less after that and was able to work in peace for the most part, talking to dissatisfied pirates of all races and talking to them about his little scheme for the world. He already had paid for a ship and was quite pleased at the speed of its construction, seems that when one pays shipwrights enough they can be quite focused on their task and finish things quick enough. He was sure that his plan would work out fine and yet knew to keep away from the stronger people of the world for now, he needed to gather his strength, make plans, form alliances, and gain intelligence first.
Thus on this rather unassuming day Advocat figured he would stop at the local Bar to get a drink, he was a bit parched and his crew were busy gathering supplies for Dead Man's Chest at the moment so they would stay out of trouble for now. Walking into the Inn/Bar he did mentally smirk at the name of it for it was called 'The Raven' and did fit in with Thriller Bark's gloomy theme perfectly. He noticed a few heads turned to look at him after he entered and to that he gave a slight bow with a smile, this always confused the rough and tumble patrons due to being unused to gentlemen pirates like Advocat's ilk. Which was just how he liked it and planned to keep it that way...the more unbalanced one makes their competition the better off one is, he made his way to the Bar-table and then said "Good to see you once again Mr. Bertram, seems you have been keeping busy once again hmm?" "What do you want Advocat.." "Oh not in the mood for a conversation are we? Still a little upset that I was able to get quite a bit of your liquor for such a low price is it?" "....What. Do. You. Want." "Oh fine fine if you are going to be like that....I wish for a glass of Gin if you will." replied the Pirate before taking a seat with his scythe laying right next to him and his rifle upon his back.

Haruki looked at the bar/inn. The Raven. Weird name. And weird place too. He had just randomly gotten off the ship at one of the islands in the west, and he had for some reason ended up here. And it was not exactly the kindest place to be. Seriously, he had lost the count of how many times they had attempted to rob him. It was as if there were a competition where he was the target. However, for some reason, they were extremely weak. It was truly weird.
He opened the door to The Raven and walked in, adjusting his sunglasses. He scanned the place for a second before walking at a normal pace towards the bar, ignoring any looks he got. At the bar, he slumped down onto a bar stool and looked at the guy behind the bar. ”Hey, you. Beer. Right now.” He said, putting a small bag of Beri on the counter. Something in his voice made Mr. Bertram keep silent and just grab the money, counting them fast before filling up a jug with beer, putting it in front of Haruki. He really needed a drink. However, he felt the eyes of others on him. Or maybe it was on his harpoon gun. Or his swords. But they did stare at him. And he did not like it. Would be better to just drink up and get away from the place. He sighed loudly for no reason at all.

By the time Haruki had came into 'The Raven' Advocat had already gotten his glass of Gin and was just happily sipping the liquor without much care, he did how ever did take a moment to look over at the bounty hunter once he first came in and was mildly curious about the man. Advocat didn't know who this person was but something in his head told him that the male was fairly strong, he didn't think too much about it though for now and turned to look away till he noticed the male moved to a stool not too far away from his own. Advocat didn't reach for his Scythe but he was ready to do so if he must since one never knows when someone might snap, but Advocat did enjoy a conversation and took a sip of his Gin once more before setting his glass down gently.
He then said without turning to look at the bounty hunter "Let me guess.....the locals have been giving you trouble since you arrived here, and because of that you are having a less than pleasant day hmm? -waits for a response before continuing- Well don't take it personally they are like that to every new comer here, just thin their numbers for a few days and they tend to learn to stay away after that....-notices men are still looking in their general direction- One moment..." Advocat turned toward the other patrons and started to reach for his rifle only for the sound of a lot of people turning away to fill the air.
He chuckled a bit at this before turning back to the bar, grabbing his glass of Gin, lifted it to his lips, and took a slow drink of it before lowering it and smiling slightly as he said "Honestly like dealing with children....no manners and only listen once you give them a proper beating. So what brings you here good Sir....it obviously wasn't to interact with the locals...." Many found Advocat's rather lax personality around strangers odd, and found how readily he talked to them even odder.....but well one can't make deals and connections if one is too shy or anti-social. As this went on things outside of the Inn was getting a little hairy since without Advocat supervision his crew where getting into arguments with other pirates, didn't help that his crew was a mix of just about every type of sailor you could find...lot of variety really.

Haruki paused as the person next to him began talking to him. Chatty fellow. He took a large sip of his beer as he paused, before continuing without getting an answer. Haruki looked at the guy, scanning him as he talked. Rifle, scythe, chatty. Not exactly the kind of person he had expected to meet at this weird place. But then again, you never knew who you would meet when you randomly traveled around. As he grabbed for his rifle, Haruki paused when he noticed how the others went silent. So, it seemed like this person was feared because of his skills with the rifle. Good to know.
As the guy asked him why he was there, he paused, looking at him once more. ”I went on a random ship and walked off on a random island. Now, I am just here to check if I can do something before I leave again.” Haruki said, taking another huge sip of his beer. It was now half-empty. Or half-full for you people that prefers that. But he did give off a neutral aura right now, as if he did not really care about his sorroundings.

Advocat was not bothered by the male's aura of indifference since it better than dealing with one who acted rather negatively in life, he took in the information the male was giving him and as he looked the man over a few times he was able to guess a few things. He smiled and then said "Ah so you are a bounty hunter....I mean you have no uniform and thus obviously not an Marine of any sort......you are calm and collected on an island that is full of cut throats and villains which shows you have seen plenty of combat and have confidence in your skills...but most importantly only Bounty Hunters tend to prefer to travel alone....."
Advocat didn't have to be a genius to figure that out though since well it wasn't like the male was trying to keep it hidden, but quite a few patrons that heard what he said shifted uncomfortably due to how few on this island were not without some sort of bounty though few were worth going after. Advocat though felt he did the male a favor...when word gets out about him quite a few high marks might come out to fight the male, now he won't have to hunt them down any more and the male will get some money...Isn't Advocat just a nice chap?
Too bad this was ruined when a tall fishman -Tiger shark type- wearing a long black trench coat that had a red demonic rune on the back walked into the Bar and headed toward Advocat and Haruki before saying "Captain, might I have a word" "....Oh Jeeves why did you have to come now...." "Captain there are some upstarts causing some trouble down at the docks..." "And I should care why?" "They are causing US trouble to be exact Captain....and I think a stray bullet hit your crate full of tea -shrugs-" ".....Ah well seems I'll have to show them the error of their ways then...rush on ahead Jeeves." "Aye Captain." "Oh and Jeeves..." "Yes?" "Do try to avoid killing the strong ones outright, they could be rather useful..." "And the weaker ones?" "Enjoy your meal then..." said Advocat with rather bored tone. Jeeves though simply grinned like he was just given a large raise....Advocat turned to Haruki and then said "Yes I'm pirate and yes we can do the stereotypical bounty hunter vs Pirate fight later on if you so wish it, but first I must teach some whelps a lesson. So feel free to follow along if you so desire but for now I must bid you adieu."
Advocat gave a slight bow to the bounty hunter before standing up and grabbing his scythe, he placed it against his shoulder while holding it with one hand as his other reached into a coat pocket and pulled out the money for the drink. Tossing it over his shoulder it landed in the cup he used with a few clinks, after that he walked off post haste without a word more. Walking out of the Inn he made a beeline toward the dock his ship was at, but once he was withing spotting distance of the dock he saw the mess going on. Seems a small brawl was going on and it just was a mess down there as his crew, the upstarts, and even a few other groups were going at it tooth and nail. This caused Advocat to shake his head as he thought 'Oh these young ones will drive me into an early grave I know it...'
Advocat stabbed the shaft of his scythe into the ground just enough to keep it from falling over before getting down into a crouched position, he then reached over his back to grab his rifle and began to look for a target to shot at since he knew who was in his group...all of them had a demonic rune on their person somewhere be it a hat, a glove, a shirt, or even a tattoo. He found a pirate that was firing blindly into the crowd and figured he would do, slowing his breath he aimed and fired off a single shot before the sight of the pirate's just falling to the ground like a mass of useless jelly. Advocat moved to aim at another....he just had to keep picking them off and soon enough they would start to scatter, no one likes to fight in the open when a sniper is about for obvious reasons...

Haruki blinked as the guy talked to something that looked like a mix between a man and a fish. Fishman. He had not seen many of those. But what that made him wonder was this guy. So he was a captain heh? Well, he would need to prove that. Emptying his drink, Haruki followed Advocat, making sure to stay a little behind. He did not really have any trouble with following him, he was not that speedy. But he did like his marksmanship. As he saw the pirates down on the docks begin to scatter, he pulled out his two swords from their sheaths, making no attempt to try lowering the sound or hide.
”Well, I guess you are not too bad. Let us fight. No killing, and the loser is the one that gives up first. Other than that, no rules.”Haruki said, holding his swords tightly. If he could go against a Pirate captain, then he would know to go after stronger people. And then, in some time, he could hunt HER.

Watching as the chaos was for now settled after a few pirates had watched their friends fall to the ground without a clue as to how it happened, but though his little action did get the desired result Advocat still looked quite perturbed. Most likely due to how he had to actually deal with something so utterly pointless to say the least, but the added fact his supply of tea was damaged didn't help his mood either to say the least. He soon stood back up and dusted his knees off then moved to place his rifle back in its sling, only to hear the sound of drawn swords and the words of the man from before.
Advocat shook his head and reached his left hand out to grab his scythe and pull it out from the ground before turning to look at Haruki, studying the man for a few moments the captain shook his head and said "I'll have to politely decline my good man, judging from the quality of your blades it quite clear you have been at this quite a bit longer than I. As such it would be a rather one sided duel and would prove little, someone like you need to test your meddle against a person of comparable strength not one who is your lesser. If not you will never learn how powerful you truly are in any accurate means.....but tell you what.....once the gap in power between us has been closed enough we can fight then. What say you to that?"
Advocat moved to now fully face the man and was quite fine to show his weapon was not of high grade like the bounty hunter's own, it was to show that Advocat was simply a new captain in the world and would be a far more interesting foe to battle with if left to grow a bit. But as he waited for the male to respond he kept himself tense and ready to fall back to his crew, it might not be as grand or impressive as a captain facing the man down one on one...but then again it is the ones that know their limits that tend to live the longest anyway.

Pausing a bit as Advo spoke, Haruki blinked. He tilted his head as he finished, trying to make sense out of the words he had spoken. He then slided the swords back into their sheaths, nodding silently. Looking onto the docks, then back to Advocat he shrugged. ”Eh, sure. Until we meet again.” He said, turning around, and started walking. He did not want to attack someone that delinced his request. He had hoped for a battle to test his skills, but that would have to wait. He would keep traveling, and he knew that when you travel a lot, you meet a lot of people…

Advocat relaxed a bit as he watched the male put his weapon away and agreed to the terms with as little words as possible, but never the less the Captain was pleased with this outcome and did nothing more than give a bow then turn to leave as well. He rushed over to his men to assess the damages and to see who was injured and who was not, seeing that only some slight wounds were incurred by his crew and that his supplies were not too damaged made this day a lot less troublesome for him. He walked up to Jeeves and patted the fishman on the shoulder and said "Very good job Jeeves you seemed to have done what I wished as well, I hope you found enough meat to keep you fed for a while since we shall set sail soon." "Aye Captain I did find some tasty treats among the bodies....they are to be moved to the ice locker as usual." replied the Tiger Shark Fishman before he reached down and tore the arm off a pirate corpse.
He began to eat it like one would eat a chicken leg while Advocat got to work informing the crew of what to do, they had captured a few of the riffraff as well and those were quick to join upon learning it was to join or to end up dinner for Jeeves. With that taken care of Advocat moved onto his deceptively decrepit looking ship and waited for the crew and supplies to get squared away....today was a good day to be a pirate and he planned to keep it that way....
